I think there is a lot of overreacting. He’s gonna get a 4 year max offer from every team in the league with cap space.

Hes gonna miss 9-10 months and return in time for the playoffs next year.

If boogie can come back as big as he is, Durant will be fine. No way he’s opting in. Warriors will max him out of guilt if nothing else.

If he opts in or resigns with the warriors it’s gonna really hurt them. Puts them way over the tax and doesn’t give them a player.

I don’t think this changes much other than Durant not being around next regular season.

It shouldn’t affect his money but he’ll never be the old KD again.  It could have all time scoring record implications as well.

youre wrong. he'll never be a top 30 player again.

....people just love to overreact here for whatever reason.

Yep.. I don't know if people noticed (or if I'm crazy), but Durant was clearly afraid to run at anything CLOSE to 100%.. he was mildly jogging in transition, even when the situation called for him to sprint.. and he still had an enormous impact on the game and was dominating. He may never be the same, but to say he'll never be a Top 30 player again.. HUGE overreaction. He'll be a great player in this league again. But still, this sucks. And that's coming from a huge KD and Warriors hater lol.

If Durant didnt want to play he wouldnt have played period. Theres no one to blame.

He's a competitor and tried to get back on the court to give his team a chance with their back against the wall and it didnt work out for him. Unfortunate.

Orrrr you can blame the doctors for telling him it can’t get any worse

It could? Durant missing another season guarantees he has no shot. It was already a huge longshot anyways.

Anyone saying he was dominating last night is only looking at his 3P shooting.

No one knows if he was misdiagnosed except for the medical staff and Durant's team. If Durant lied about his pain level to try and get back on the court, then what can the medical team do about that? Maybe they semi-lied to him and said he couldn't make anything worse without telling him he's more susceptible to an achilles injury. Just way too many possibilities with no facts for us right now.

I'm honestly sick about this. Everything that has been said about KD feels so dirty and effed up right now. This sucks so bad.

At least his reputation was basically restored in an instant. Pretty lame consolation, but how can anyone hate him after this?

Even Russ will probably reach out to him. That’d be a great storyline actually!

He literally could only hit shots. He was useless defensively and provided nothing on offense except his shot. The top 30 player thing is an overreaction but I can say pretty confidently that KD won't be a top 5 player again.

The fact that he was diagnosed with a "calf strain" that kept him out close to a month should have had someone in the KD camp screaming for a 2nd/3rd opinion from an independent elite sports medicine specialist. I think I said from my couch, drink in hand, 2 weeks ago that I'd worry about an Achilles injury.

Our boy Murray with one hell of a tweet after the injury though lol.

He’s an idiot dude. He’s just super young and immature and has no self awareness. He’s been kinda openly rooting for Toronto on social media and it’s like....maybe keep it off social media??
