Trade: TE Michael Roberts to the Patriots

Recommended Posts

Quote

According to Justin Rogers of the Detroit News, the Lions are trading tight end Michael Roberts to New England in exchange for a future late-round draft pick.

Something for nothing imo. With the stupid amount of resources they put into the TE spot this off season, he wasn't going to make the final 53 without a couple injuries happening.

Green Bay just picked up Roberts.

I think I've heard that teams have different standards but I don't understand how he fails a physical with the Pats but can then be signed by GB.

He has now failed his physical with a Green Bay.

I did see that. Seems odd we'd hear about it much later after they claimed him.

Sucks for Roberts because he's going to have a tough time with rehabbing and finding a team over the next few months.
