Only difference was he was no longer the clear cut #1 on his team so he had to share the load with LeBron. That was the only difference. Wade himself didn't decline as a player. And when it was money time in those Celtics/Mavs series, he made big play after big play. This is a myth. Dwyane Wade's 2011 postseason wasn't anywhere near his 2010 postseason. He declined every year he played with LeBron. He also gets extremely overrated for that run because LeBron choked so hard. He was mediocre against Philly, great against Boston, mediocre against Chicago and then good against Dallas. Mavericks series 26.5 ppg 7 rpg 5.2 apg on 54.6-30.4-69.4 splits in ~39 mpg +/- of -6 for the series

His numbers declining a bit just has to do with playing with LeBron opposed to being a one man show the year prior. What exactly are you showing with those stats? His postseason from 2010? Dude got eliminated in round one. He was still a monster against the Celtics in 2011. You are mistaking the actual raw numbers to the level of player he was. Why would he decline all of a sudden in 2011? He didn't suffer any injury that year and still had the same athletic freak. It was only after 2011 when he started to have some knee problems that started his decli

The numbers I posted were his stats against Dallas. He wasn't amazing against them. He declined because he had another year of wear and tear on an already injury plagued body nearing 30. Again, he was damn near the same player. That's like saying LeBron declined because his numbers slipped from the season prior, when we know that wasn't the case. Only difference was he had to play with another superstar for the first time in his career and wasn't able to have the rock in his hands as much as he did in 2010. No one watched Wade in 2011 and thought to themselves that he was any lesser of a player than he was the season prior....Because that simply wasn't the case.

So because he was slightly more efficient but worse at everything else both bulk/advanced wise he's the same? No one on Earth thinks 2011 LeBron is better or the same as 2010 LeBron. Color me unconvinced.

This is what I'm saying, you're mistaking a player having a batter season in the year prior to being the better player. No, the player in this case is still the same. So Bron then all of a sudden got worse from 2010 to 2011 to getting better in 2013? Both didn't get worse from 2010 to 2011, just they had the ball in their hands less and had to adjust to their new role.

Are you under the impression that players don't get better or worse and that every season is exactly the same? Because that's nonsense. Every other year of his Miami career he had comparable advanced numbers to his Cleveland days except 2011. If you want a specific example LeBron was less efficient despite playing with better teammates and a worse defender in 2011. showtime
2010 Wade or whenever LeBron joined Miami was the best player he's ever played with in general. But NBA Finals Kyrie Irving was God tier and that is the best version of any player LeBron has ever played with specifically.

I'm under the impression that Wade was essentially the same player he was the season prior. This thing about him "declining" from 2010 is nonsense. Players can have a better season one year compared to the other and be the same player. Steph Curry didn't all of a sudden become a worse player the season following his unanimous MVP campaign
