Josh Allen 23-40, 174 yards, 2 INT; 8 rushes -10 yards.

Hearing a lot of excuses of "if he had NFL level talent" talk on twitter, and I think it's just that.  An excuse.  Wentz didn't have NFL level talent and didn't have these problems.

Shaun Dion Hamilton is a monster in the middle of that Alabama defense. He played a helluva game.

Minkah Fitzpatrick is a bigger faster Honeybadger. Maybe a top 20 pick.

Ronnnie Harrison and his closing speed is amazing to watch and he brings the hammer.

Bo Scarbrough and Derrick Henry are the same player. Solid.

Number 94 DT is almost unmovable and allows the ILBs to fly around.

Matt Ryan had 24 INTs and still went #1 his senior year

He played division 1 opponents his entire career.

Meanwhile, Allen has had 15 against FCS opponents, 1 TD/7 INT VS FBS.

Carson Wentz had 14 INT's in 4 years of FCS competition. 45 TD's, 64 comp%.

Joe Flacco had 15 INT's in 2 full years of FCS competition. 41 TD's, 63 comp%.

Josh Allen has 17 INT's in 15 games. With 18 TD's, 57 comp%.

He lags so far behind the other two 1st round FCS players in the NFL that he does not deserve the thought of a first round QB.  All Josh Allen has is an arm.  He has 0 polish, 0 footwook, 0 pocket awareness, 0 ability to read a defense.

I watched that game.  He has all of the physical abilities, and looked great at times, but in the end what happened was he got rattled and started pressing.  He tried too hard and forced stuff.  Now those stats are a bit misleading though.  He threw a beauty bomb and his guy was hit in the chest in the end zone, with no defender interference and he flat out dropped it.  But if you could get him later than where Wentz went, and give him time to develop, you might really have something if you could reign him in a bit.  One thing to note here:  if the commentators were accurate and serious, last year he had a play where he had 2 guys open.  1 10 yards downfield for a 1st down, and one 50 yards downfield.  He threw it to the deep guy and it was intercepted.  His coach asked him about it, and he said it's like Favre said, "touchdowns, not first downs".  That's good if he is competitive.  Bad if he's just stupid and reckless.  But yeah, he passed the eyeball test for a while, that's for sure.  Perfect physique, athleticism and arm.  Then it unraveled a bit as time wore on.
