Don’t be a jealous hater. You also think that he's a better shooter than Lonzo despite him struggling to shoot at every level that he has played at. Lonzo was the #3 player in a really strong class and LaMelo is a fringe top 25 player in one of the weakest recruiting classes in recent memory. Yeah, but he scored all those points in that 1 game that 1 time when he didn't cross half court.

Sure, but he's also super young and hasn't even turned 17 years old yet. His vision and passing for his age is pretty damn spectacular. This guy is going to be a lottery pick in next year's draft. The issues are that he can’t shoot, doesn’t play defense, and doesn’t play team basketball.

Doesn't play team basketball? Disagree. Plenty of guards coming in that play little to no defense. With his size and length, he can become effective on that end of the floor. Dude doesn't turn 18 years old until next week, he will gain strength with time. Definitely a lottery pick.

He averaged 31 shots and 7 TO per game in the JBA last season. He also shot like 10 3's per game despite the fact that he shot 23% from beyond the arc. Not exactly my definition of a guy that plays team basketball. He's tall and long but he's not very explosive or laterally quick. It's a terrible class so he has a chance but ultimately I think he's a MCW/Rivers type of player. Edited July 15, 2019 by NYRaider

NYRaider
Anthony Edwards will be a monster. I like Cole Anthony a lot too but I just realized that he's older than RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson already.

A lot of Luka Doncic-lite comparisons after his performance at Basketball w/o Borders earlier this year.

That'll be the biggest hiccup for him in the NBA. We’ll see. I expect huge things out of him this season as probably our best overall player. How was he doing in HS ball last year? Was getting a triple double on the regular. His passing and vision is very good period. His shot selection? Not so much yet. But he's also supposed to be a senior in HS this year. LIS, dude is going to be a lottery pick when it is all said and done. At worst, top 17-20 selection.
