Here's what we know so far ... the Cleveland Browns running back went to the Barley House party spot on Saturday night with a bunch of friends and stayed late into the evening.

Right after he left, SOMETHING happened -- and several cops went over to speak with the 23-year-old. He wasn't arrested. Wasn't detained. He left without incident.

But, a witness tells TMZ Sports ... Hunt was involved in a physical altercation with another man before the cops came over. The witness wasn't sure if it was a "real" fight or if he was just horsing around with a buddy.

At one point, one of the officers can be heard on video telling Kareem, "I saw him push you."

Barley House owner Bobby George told WKYC3 that Hunt was involved in a "small argument with one of his friends ... People blew it out of proportion."

We reached out to the Cleveland PD but despite the video, they have no record of the interaction -- "There wasn't a police report or any calls that we have located."

Either way, it's notable considering Hunt had publicly stated he was seeking help for alcohol and anger management in the wake of TMZ Sports posting video showing him in a 2018 physical altercation with a woman.

"he was seeking help for alcohol and anger management"

... at The Barley House.

So hes not allowed to hang out w/ friends?  You do realize that he did nothing wrong here, right?  It doesnt even say he was drinking.  This is why I hate today's outrage culture and fake news.  Something didnt happen is not a story.  It's an agenda.

It’s prolly one of the more popular places to hang out. No reports saying he was drinking or drunk. Just he was talking to the cops, which was even bad. Dude still has a life

Not saying you're wrong, but generally speaking one of the conditions of alcohol rehabilitation is not spending time in bars.

Even if we're not going to blast the guy for being adjacent (at best) to ANOTHER bar fight, minimally we should probably be talking about how either the Alcohol Rehabilitation place he's seeking treatment at is a joke, or how he's not taking it seriously.

You do know that recovery does not mandate you stay away from all establishments that serve alcohol.  No he wasnt adjacent at best to another bar fight.  He and his buddy got into it and nothing happened.  Again, something not happening is not a story.

While many organizations don't mandate it, it sure as **** isn't encouraged.

You seem really committed to this idea that nothing happened. We don't really know anything.

Which is kinda my point all evidence has pointed to nothing happened.  The manager said nothing happened, there was no police report and the body cam footage shows the officer telling Hunt they witnessed somebody push HIM. Yet we still have people like you coming in and saying that "at best he was adjacent to a bar fight"  Its emblematic of today's outrage culture and the 24/7 news site.  An internet rumor started that Hunt was involved in a bar fight, nobody else felt any need to even comment and the rumor, and TMZ digs into it and this is the best they can find and rather than leaving the rumor to die, they decide to report a non story and add to the rumor and enable others their faux outrage
