pretty cool 'gravity' charts/ranks tool

guess it tracks how much defensive attention players get at the rim//midrange/3pt

giannis for instance ranks 1st at the rim (100 percentile), 78.6 percentile for midrange, and 61.1 percentile for 3pts.

I think it will only be free for a couple days

Thanks for sharing. This highlights how little help Donovan Mitchell had last season, he ranked in the 92nd percentile at the rim, 97th percentile in the mid-range, and 97th percentile at the 3 point line. Defenses were keyed in on him last season.

The only 3 players to rank in the 90th+ percentile (per game) at the rim, mid-range, and 3 point line: Donovan Mitchell, LeBron James, Brad Beal

Vince Carter has agreed to re-sign with the Hawks on a one-year deal. Upon the completion of the 2019-20 season, Carter will be 43 years old and will hold the record for the most seasons played in NBA history (22). This is expected to be Carter's final year in the league, and he'll have a similar role in Atlanta that he had last season, predominantly serving in a mentorship role to the younger guys on the roster.

Would’ve liked to see him retire in a raptors jersey.

Shams Charania: Free agent Michael Beasley has been suspended five games by the NBA for violating anti-drug policy. The failed drug test was not recent — it was from October/November 2018 during sabbatical with the Lakers, when his mom was dying with cancer.
