Westbrook definitely help them get /more easier fastbreak points. I'm pretty sure the Rockets have been one of the slower paced teams in the NBA the last two seasons.

Did folks not watch CP3 in the Warriors series and see him not being able to go by anyone? Westbrook is flawed no doubt, but he gives the Rockets a better chance of winning it all than CP3 who breaks down every single season.

As for Westbrook getting the Rockets more fast break points? Possibly, but who actually runs the floor well for them? Gordon? Sure, but Harden? Nope, Tucker? Nope, but he can push it himself. Though he didn't exactly finish all that well last season.

Hot Take; Harden and Westbrook vibe each other ala Heat Lebron and Wade and just have fun balling out with each other. Rockets improve on their record from last season but see themselves escorted out of the playoffs in the same round by the Clippers

Russ was arguably a little overrated during his MVP year but things have swung so far in the direction it's hilarious to watch people act like he's anything other than a friggin stud.

Westbrook has never gotten to play distributor with a group of shooters like this before. This is such a huge upgrade for the Rockets. The West is so spicy.

Idk we’ve never seen Westbrook and Harden play together. Lulz. Think they’re the new Blazers. Second round exit tbh.

This isn’t a bad move for Houston. It’s a risky one, but if it gels they could be NBA champs. They weren’t getting there this year before the trade anyways.

The Westbrook hate is insane. Yeah his numbers are definitely inflated. But that doesn’t mean he’s a complete fraud. Crazy talk.

Houston's title chances just hit 0%. What a horrible move. If you asked me to name one player who couldn't play with James Harden it's Russell Westbrook. We've already seen it too. Only Harden is better and more ball dominant now.

The Westbrook slander has gotten out of hand. Houston flipped CP3 on his last legs for a former MVP still in his prime.

Yeah I'm no Westbrook fan but he is a fringe top 10 player.

A few weeks ago people were saying they were stuck with CP3, nobody would take on that contract. Not only did they dump it, but they get a better player in return. Better fit? TBD, I think overall a good move for Houston, that CP3 contract was shaping to be on the worst in the league, and Westbrook is a top tier talent, sacrificing the 2024-26 drafts is not too bad. On the flip side, that's a nice return for OKC. Think they would have been smarter to just go full rebuild, if CP3 stays on roster (which I think he will due to contract) that will prevent them from bottoming out, but this could definitely be a Nets-Celtics type situation where 2024ish we see Harden leave and then because of no assets, Rockets continue to suck and Thunder reap rewards.

It’s a bad fit. People had questions about the fit between CP and Harden fit. This is an even much worse fit.

LOL I can't wait for their playoff implosion

So many bricks lol.

Russ must be ecstatic lol. For years and years millions of people have told Russ to stop shooting so many threes. Now he’s gonna have greenest of light to shoot as many threes as possible. This gone be fun.

ESPN: For the first time in their 11-year history since relocating from Seattle, the Thunder are tumbling headfirst into a reboot. It leaves big questions about how OKC might react to watching a team without superstars, or if it can continue to fill the arena on Tuesday nights in February.

The fall might seem abrupt, but really, the pillars of their foundation have been splintering for years. Fresh off their only NBA Finals berth in 2012, they traded a 23-year-old Sixth Man of the Year in Harden -- but they kept winning. In the summer of 2016, they lost Kevin Durant, the Thunder's first MVP and face of the franchise -- but they kept winning.

Indeed, the Westbrook and George trades are jarring, but there's some optimism for a refresh -- something many in the organization think is necessary, if not overdue.
