Disagree. They are covering the rehab either way, but the player obviously wanted to stay with the organization and their rehab structure that was already in place.

At the bare minimum, they can place him on the 60-day DL for a few weeks or month until he has a chance to get comfortable in his rehab and then work him/his agent/his rehab staff to transition him out. There's no 40 man roster implications, the only difference is he'd collect salary for a few weeks.

We will just agree to disagree here. If they keep him for 'a few weeks or month' and released him at that point the sour grapes would surface, then. NFL teams waive players every day injured; the NBA teams do the same thing. This is just a player wanting to start a pity party for himself.

Fair enough.

Nevermind - you were right and it was Barker's misunderstanding:

Happy to see I was wrong.

1-4 post Hader and officially outside of the playoffs. This collapse is going to be so fun.

Not sure what league average is but the Brewers score in 3 innings or less 84% of the time (90/107), 2 innings or less 53.3% of the time (57/107), 1 inning or less 27.1% of the time (29/107) and have been shut out 9 times.

Couldn't imagine how much poorer this would be if we didn't get 57 games vs the Pirates, Reds and Cubs.

It is odd to look at the standing this morning with 54 games to play and the Brewers 2 games out of a playoff spot and think they have no chance of making it in. They have melted faster than snowflakes on an August day. 10 of the next 15 games are against the Dodgers and Cardinals, it's going to get really ugly in a short period of time.
