We could just as easily be shedding salary to make a big splash in FA as we could be shedding to dump salary. Thats just a place holder roster. You've got everybody, but I think we're going to go with Peralta/Burnes in the rotation if we're doing a mini-rebuild (which it seems like we are). Free agency overall is back to where it was a few years ago. Wheeler getting $118MM, Grandal getting $73MM, and Moose getting $64MM means we aren't going to be able to patch holes with 1 year offers like we have been. Let's offer Yelich a Votto deal, like 8/$240MM and see if he bites, then let's go fill out the rest of the roster with as many interesting pop up guys as we can. The fact that Jonathan Villar was traded for absolutely nothing means that there is still value for the right low level guy. Just gotta do what we did in 2015 again.
