He's not a really good run defender anymore but he's still a very good pass rusher. That's what his role would have likely been this year for this team IMO.

Daniels is fine against the run still, this is just a bad fit for him. He's a one gap penetrator all day, his game just doesn't play well stacking and shedding every down.

He would have been in a bit of weird limbo here sure, but I don't think you can say he'd be a pass rush specialist even in Green Bay.

To be fair those last three clips could've been one of our other trash DL outside of 97.

Well the last two sure, but he puts Whitworth on his heels a bit in that first of those three and I don't think any of the other DL we have could do that at the moment. Adams has quite a ceiling but he's probably still two years away from his prime. His body is getting there, still needs to keep working on his game.

Feels like it's just splitting hairs on wording.

Not very good vs. Not a very good fit.

Pass rush specialist vs. Primary role in this defense would be pass rusher.

Spriggs is the best 3rd tackle on this team. If he's out right cut, not traded, not IRd, just gets cut, I'll become a Vikings fan and post there every single day forever for being wrong.

I'm sorry Norm. xD You will have to hope he ends up on IR.

If he does not end up on IR for us then technically it is an outright cut. Right? Right? xD

Being waived, being cut is essentially the same thing. Either way that player is no longer a Packer.

I mean other than an injury waiver designation literally not being the same thing as an outright cut, sure.

So Daniels still hasn't been able to practice in DET because of the foot injury he suffered last season?  I didn't realize the foot was still an issue.

If that's true, that's clearly the straw that broke the camel's back.

For those keeping score:

Over 30: check

Decreased production: check

Nagging injury: check.
