You are right.

It's a real route, and LBs typically have the RB in coverage, but yes other players would be on the field during a game. This is just a drill. That's why LVE was the most impressive. He has the hardest job in this drill. To cover a scat back in the open field with no help. He performed admirably. Dak is not the focus of the drill. Although the pass was absolutely perfect, he has no pass rush and no read to make. He is just dropping back and throwing to his only target. Daks job gets harder with pressure, whereas LVE would have it easier in a game.

I disagree. Single high safeties arent concerned with the RB. There will be a clearing route from a WR to get the FS's attention. And this is a common route. Zeke runs it as a wheel from the backfield. But from the slot its a simple out and up. The concept is to iso a LB. People dont use it against us because our LBs can run with RBs and we play zone. 

Id be shocked if this wasnt a staple in every playbook as a man coverage beater.  Especially against slow LBs.
