Bad read, bad throw, bad, just bad!

He's an awful Qb ... we are wasting our time with him.  The brass in Cleveland knew they had a bust on their hands and took advantage of us in the Randall deal.   I had some hopes for him early on, but it was quickly dashed when he relieved an injured Rodgers in the opener and proceeded to do nothing but turn the ball over.  Then he gets a shot in a late season start and does exactly nothing.  He's just never going to get.  There's a reason why he's never won a game.

Kizer is terrible. In over 500 attempts he’s completing 53% of his nfl passes. Between that and his sr year of college there’s enough of a sample size there to say he probably isn’t going to cut it. Even though I don’t think Boyle has the physical attributes to have starter potential, I’d be more comfortable rolling with Tim in an emergency.

Packers don’t have a backup QB

Several teams don't even have a viable starter, most don't have a capable back up.
Schaub looked horrible, Fitz is already swooning, McCown retired. Glennon sucks, Bradford is done. Its really bleak from about QB28 -- > QB 64

The few select teams that do have a viable backup aren't trading them for anything less than a bountiful bounty

That’s a horrible excuse. Fact is they whiffed on Hundley. They whiffed on Kizer. Boyle is an inaccurate albeit strong arm. We can’t operate in Brett Favre world anymore. Our guys been hurt. We need to find someone who can make plays.

Agreed. So go ahead and share your list of QBs who fit that criteria. I'm trying to get past all the hypotheticals and name some names
That seems far more insightful than yet another useless round of the blame game.

Okay, ONLY guys they could’ve gotten after Hundley’s first starting disaster run? When everyone agreed Hundley had zero trade value? He had years to prepare and failed. No need for more time there. That’s in the GM handbook.

So you're willing to sacrifice a starter for a backup QB? That's the only way you get this reality, is to pay 8-12m for a backup QB, which is nice starter money for any other position in the league.
