OneTwoSixFive
I looked at the depth chart on Packers.com. Not many surprises, but a few "things that make you go hmmmm". (I did copy and paste the depth chart, but once I'd put it up it looked crazy, so I deleted it and added it in a post below.. Kumerow ahead of Trevor Davis and ESB (as a second choice receiver) ? Well both Kumerow and Davis have played very well, not much between them. ESB has been quieter, but no comcerns with him either. Allison as the other second choice isn't surprising. If the Packers go 6 at cutdown it might be Moore and Shepherd as the losers/PS, though Shepherd is listed as PR behind Davis, as well as WR, if the Pack go 7. Since there is no differentiation between 3rd and 4th safety it doesn't show, but the Packers favour Raven Green at the moment. DE Fadol Brown over James Looney, no big deal. CB Tony Brown over Ka'dar Hollman, down mostly to seniority, I'd imagine. Again, both have played well. I'd be interested to know whether the Packers favour Crawford over Summers at ILB (both are second choice players). I'm guessing they do, at this (early) time. McCray over Madison at Center - probably correct at this time as Madison is really struggling with shotgun snaps, but I'd bet Madison would be ahead, if they were listed as guards. At QB it almost doesn't matter who you have as the no.2. None of them bring any confidence. Will Tonyan (ranked with the thirds) get more snaps than Lewis (ranked with the seconds) ? Wouldn't surprise me. My biggest question is whether this will change before the start of the regular season, not counting injury changes ? Of course it will change. We haven’t even had our first preseason game yet. Depth charts at this point are for talking heads and the peanut gallery. Edited August 5, 2019 by thrILL! pacman5252
No major surprises. A few observations that will bring about intrigue; -Kumerow on the second team (ESB as a 5th wr) -Josh Jackson corner 5 (I guess he hasn't practiced yet though) -Madison listed as C and as #3 -F Brown DE 2 -M Lewis TE 2 (not really surprised since Tonyan/Jace are young and inexperienced) -Jenkins LG2 behind Taylor- Maybe Taylor doesn't survive camp (I would surprised, but I'd get it too). -Josh Jones still listed as S, #2 behind Amos -TD still listed as KR/PR (not a surprise, but I think it just shows his spot is locked up).
