Vita Vea sprains LCL; out 4-8 weeks

Recommended Posts

This injury worries me. Hopefully it’s just precaution and turns out to be minor.

Kind of encouraged the MRI isn t  until Friday.  We know they did the ACL test with the knee when he went inside.  Usually an MRI  is done pretty quickly because the player fails that test and the MRI confirms it.  Fingers crossed.

Large human I feel like he’ll need to get his weight down to sustain a longer playing career.

I would assume the first MRI was to try and show if the ACL was torn.  I can t remember the last time 2 MRIs were needed to determine an ACL tear.

Probably a knee sprain and he’ll be out for 3-4 weeks

I hope so.  I m assuming in my non medical opinion the first MRI was to rule out ACL.  The add l testing is to determine the origin of the swelling.  Always hope to avoid any surgery with knee injuries.

That'd be my guess too.
