And outside of 2016, they still haven't found one. Every one they think they found ends up getting multiple injuries or into drugs and never ends up being the player they think they found. Same for their quarterback situation. Brunell wasn't the the greatest, but I don't think the Jaguars have had a decent quarterback since then. game3525
Not the longest, but man the Chargers haven't had a competent LG since Dielman's unfortunate early retirement eight years ago.

Wyld Stallyns
Not that I consider this player great by any historical measure. But the Colts haven’t had a 1,000 yard rusher since Joseph Addai in 2007. Frank Gore (967 in 2015 and 961 in 2017) narrowly missed it twice and last year Marlon Mack managed 908 yards in only 12 games.

Blackstar12
Colts haven’t had a great pass rushers like Freeney or Mathis in quite some time. Edited August 8, 2019 by Blackstar12
TitanSlim
I don't know if people considered him a great player but the Titans have been trying to find a Derrick Mason level WR since he left. We haven't had a WR have back to back 1000 yard season since Mason left, in 2004. In fact, the only WRs to go for over 1000 yards (in the 15 years since Mason's departure) have been Nate Washington in 2011(at only 1023 yards) and Kendall Wright in 2013 (at 1079 yards). scar988
Falcons haven't truly had a premiere pass rusher since Abraham left after the 2012 season. Vic Beasley had one good year, but he was more converting at a high rate than actually causing a ton of pressure.
iknowcool
Layne to Stafford maybe? Bobby Layne left the Lions in 1958, Lions drafted Stafford in 2009. That's 51 years. Unless we count Scott Mitchell
