Bad. Real bad. Like, they've been listening to that one Michal Jackson song on repeat, Bad. We didn't generate any pressure and the DBacks were wildly out of position the whole time. Fortunately we were resolute on offense on 3rd down as usual. Helps when you avoid taking too many negative plays and don't have long to get to the sticks though. Well what happens when your starting QB is out for the season. Your (now) 2nd string QB Matt Myers is out for the game with a concussion, and you're (now) 3rd string QB Dom Johnson breaks his leg halfway through the game winning drive with under a minute remaining. That's right, you put the fastest guy in and hope he can make something happen with his legs, because we didn't have anyone who could possibly complete a pass downfield with any sort of reliability. Aapri Washington had a big run with the receivers running deep. Was just trying to keep them honest. Given that neither our kicker or punter can complete a field goal past 35 yards, it had to be a great run. But we got the Game winning Field Goal as time expired, crisis averted!

Danger
Let's meet the 2020 Buffalo Bulls Freshman! QB Mike Kemp Kemp immediately comes in as the best QB on this team being quick and having the best arm. He'll be starting from day 1, so it's a name you'll be hearing a lot of. RB Jesse Dailey Jesse Dailey will redshirt in his first season. He's a bit slow at 82 speed, but he might be able to make some plays as a goal line/short yardage runner throughout his career. Definitely the power back type. WR Rodney Cooper Looking at the depth chart, it looks like with both Antonio Nunn and Daniel Lee graduating after this season that Cooper will step in next season as the #1 (as Charlie Jones still plays the slot/TE Hybrid). He'll be reshirting this year though, so we look forward to what's to come from Cooper. TE Travis Hardin Zac Lefevbre has made some really good plays for us so far, and will certainly be a huge part of the offense this season as well, but Travis Hardin is absolutely his heir apparent. He's a balanced TE with some blocking and some catching skills, like Cooper, we won't see him this season, but expect big things from him next year. G Brandon Daniels* While not technically a freshman, JUCO SO transfer Brandon Daniels is immediately thrusted into the starting lineup at 76 Overall with 3 of our guards from last season having graduated. The coaches want him to try to put on a bit of weight at 6'4" 263 having converted from TE at his Junior College. G Ray Foster Ray Foster is the type of player Coach Posloszny would usually redshirt, but due to a lack of depth he's going to be ready and waiting for his chance to get some early reps. He's considerably bigger than Daniels measuring in at 6'6" 302 lbs but his technique doesn't quite match up just yet. DT Lonnie Irby Irby has some room to add weight to his frame as well (6'1" 289) given that he doesn't have the natural agility and quickness of some of the other DTs on the team. Optimally he adds some weight and plays like a nose tackle for us as he excels at Run Stuffing. DE Justin Roberts First of the dynamic young pass rushing duo, Justin Roberts looks to end up being a very high draft pick who is a pass rush specialist. At 81 overall, he will be a huge playmaker, and he gets to learn from an excellent older player in Taylor Riggins. DE Brent Mills (Back in blue now) The other half of the deathly defensive duo, Mills is a much more well rounded Edge player. He'll also sit this season with the Redshirt and learn behind Malcolm Koonce who is set to graduate after this season. OLB Randy Wade Wade seems to be a promising young LB. He excels in coverage so maybe moving him to the weakside is in his future. He has adequate speed, but his acceleration is off the charts at 98. FS Ricky Chavez The F*** you looking at? Ricky Chavez has a meanstreak and will talk s*** until the last whistle blows (and even beyond). Both he and Mike Jones were recruited as strong safeties but with Chavez being the superior player in coverage, it made more sense for him to be the future starter as a center fielder. SS Mike Jones Almost like a 4th linebacker. Mike Jones is 6'3" 220 lbs, and comes in as a freshman with an 87 Hit power rating. Dude is the deadly but silent type. If you try to get up in his face, you won't get the opportunity to talk smack with him again. (I forgot to take a picture) CB Jonathan Wilson A well rounded Corner who will redshirt this year but then start as the #2 or #1 corner for the next few seasons after. He's good in coverage but his sped is a little lacking.

Really the defense and special teams shined here. SS Tyrone Hill was flying all over the field on this game (he also had a fumble recovery for another TD that was reviewed and overturned, Darn). Aapri Washington had a huge kickoff return for a TD right out of the gate. Tomorrow I'll do 2 more games, UCF and East Carolina. The two WRs I'm going after are starting to get recruited by other teams, I think I'll probably be able to hold on to one of them but not both, I'm wondering if I should let go of one of them. Brian Henry is being listed by the game as a DBack at his 72 rating but I'm very confident he's actually like 78 or so as a WR so his rating is misleading. Anthony Moore and Joe Ransom are in similar boats, they both would like be higher rated at receiver. I've been scouting just about every O-Lineman I can that hasn't made up their mind but no one is really higher than 67. Keep hoping I'll find a gem but no such luck. ATH Eddie Fogle is a lineman. he's 6'5 288 Lbs, but scouting athletes doesn't tell you their blocking skills, so my guess is as good as yours. Ultimately, should I give up on one of those WRs that bigger schools are now recruiting? I may end up with an overabundance of WRs due to the Athletes being better than their OVR indicates from scouting. I kinda really want Fogle for some reason tbh.
