I'm....speechless.

Dallas offered $30m/yr, Dak shoots high and asks for 40....I guess they meet in the middle.

I'd let him walk for even mentioning $40 mill a year.

At $40m/yr I am franchising him next year and drafting his replacement.

I really hope we dont cave in and pay that much.

It's all part of the negotiation. I don't think he gets that and frankly this is just the start. Going to be lots of huge contracts in the near future. Dak just happens to be the next big push.

Understand that you negotiate but at some point you have to take a stand.

Dak is not worth $40 mill or even $35 mill. Stephen needs to stick to his guns.

Let Dak play out this year. He plays well franchise him. If not let him walk.

Meh, the market says he is worth the 35, given the recent contracts. And, despite the narrative that he isn't any good/not that good/whatever there is plenty on the other side of the coin too. Just depends on what and how you want to view it.

Is she usually a franchise reporter or a players reporter?

This just seems like a story you float out there to lose Dak the fan support.

Might be a blessing in disguise though

I dont see how this helps anything at all - either for the Cowboys or Dak. Maybe floating $40m will make it look reasonable if he signs for $35m.... but even that is a stretch.
