Dak Thread....still debating, beating a dead horse

I dont think anything Dak does at this point will help the team cause I think the team has largely given up on the season.

Now Dak being a team leader has some fault in that for not rallying the troops, but mostly I think this means the players as a whole are done with the season and with this coaching staff.

Garrett is done.

GTFO Movement Confirmed

or

Dak isn't a 40 Million dollar QB

???

Both?

In all seriousness... if Dak IN A CONTRACT YEAR is secretly plotting against JG in support of The GTFO movement, he will replace ES and Darren Woodson as my favorite cowboy ever.

if he just sucks against above average teams, he will will become the new Almost Anthony Spencer of the cowboys organization.

Dak is +.500 for his career against teams 8-8 or better. There are 3 QBs over that time with a better record. Brady, Wilson and Big Ben. For comparison, Wentz is 9-20. Here are some other QBs:

In those games he has 41 TDs and 21 turnovers.

Cowboys  are 1-5 when dak throws for more than 300 yards

You cant help but say things that are factually incorrect, can you?

1. Dak is 7-4 in games that he has thrown over 300 yards (2-4 this year). 10-4 if you make the cutoff 280+.

2. Bulk yardage has a very low correlation to winning. So its a dumb argument to begin with.

Haha….getting into a "numbers" battle with Matts. 5x10, you might want to pick a battle.

Cowboys Formula to Success

-Defense makes plays, forces turnovers, Holds opposition in check

-Running Game dominates, O-Line solid

-Dak Game Manages

Cowboys Formula for Failure

-Defense Average or worse

-Running game abandoned or innefective

-Dak balls out for 350-400 yards passing

Takeaways

For the Cowboys to be successful, We need dominant playmakers on defense who can cause turnovers (Those guys cost $$), The O-line needs to be stout and be need to stick with or dominate the running game, which dominates time of possession, which keeps the defense off the field. The QB needs to game manage and make simple plays and not turn the ball over. Relying on the QB to "Will Us To Victory" results in defeat

Spend the money on the defense, Continue to run the ball and invest in the OLine and find a QB who can game manage vs one that makes 40 million and can't overcome the deficiencies that a 40 million dollar QB causes

Guys, 144 of those rush yards came in #GARBAGETIME. Guys, of that turnover & TO on Downs came in #GARBAGETIME.

Guys, Dak had 152 yards, 2 TDs, led 3 scoring drives and put up over a 125 QB rating when the game *actually* mattered.

Get outta here with your garbage time RB and Defense.

There is no such thing as garbage time when you are winning. The other team is always trying to stop you. The motivation of the winning team is to run the ball as a method of keeping the clock running and shorten the game

Garbage Time exists for losing teams because the winning team basically plays standard defense to prevent the big plays over the top that the losing team needs to catch up fast while giving up all the underneath and midfield stuff to KEEP THE CLOCK RUNNING and shorten the game

C'mon Matts.... you're not new to football

This was the exact same formula they used with Dak in his 13-3 season. Run the ball, Keep the clock moving, limit the amount of opposition drives and keep our defense off the field as much as possible. The more they have relied on Dak's arm alone, the less successful they have been
