I'm sure this has probably been shared already...but....

Read about this on The nfl app. Their metrics are pretty intriguing, and makes a good case for Dak "the bus driver" as far more than a bus driver.

However it doesnt take into account the receiver the throw is going to. Someone like Amari is going to inflate those numbers more than a QB who's throwing to someone not as adept at those deeper routes.

That's just playing devil's advocate though. Honestly, Dak has been damn good all around. Is he Mahomes? No. But let's be realistic here. Guys like that are so far and few between, to expect Dak to be that is silly. He has everything you need and more, he makes all the throws you could need, he rallies his team from behind and he has the tools to work every situation and area of the field.

Sums up my thoughts for all these tid bit stats.

"They're only numbers- numbers on paper. Once you understand them, it's easy to make them behave."

Any stat that shows only a percentage and not the actual numbers is garbage. Same goes for anything with an arbitrary factor "Expected" completion percentage

Trent Dilfer has a .833 career playoff win percentage... #1 All Time (He's 5-1 and the 4 wins came in 1 season and we all know he was carried by the defense)

Tom Brady has a .731 playoff win percentage. Dilfer > Brady (Oh ya, Brady is 30-11)

It's easy to Cherry pick stuff if you want to find something to fit your narrative

There are 3 types of Lies. Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics

Hmm just for my own mind checked all games

2016.

 Won 35-30 over pitt   1-0
playoffs lost GB 35-31  0-1

2017

lost 42-17 den 1-1
lost 30-35 rams 1-2
lost 31-35 GB 1-3
lost 8-37 Philly 1-4

2018

won 36-35 NYG  2-4

Playoffs lost  22-30 Rams  0-2

2019

Lost 24-34 GB 2-5
lost 24-31 chic 2-6

so 2-6 regular season rec =.250%
with playoffs 2-8 = .200%

I’m assuming this is Dak’s record against teams with a winning record?

That’s most certainly not what that is

edit: looks like record in games where the opposition scores 30. Now there’s a genuinely worthless statistic
