Can we all agree that based on Dak’s performance today... he should be paid a lot closer to Cam Newton than Patrick Mahomes?

25-39 266 1 TD 0 Pick - nice stat line

......buuuuuuuttttttt

Played it "safe" all game, chose the dump offs to the short receiver rather than push the ball down the field to make a play

Everyones dumping on McCarthy/Moore, but there's always going to be a short man, Dak can't choose that guy EVERY TIME. Chuck the ball downfield and let your other stud WRs MAKE A PLAY. Move the chains and quit coming up short on 3rd down and killing drives

Dak in a nutshell

Much of it is the same as it’s always been: he doesn’t have any anticipation and can’t throw his receivers open. Instead, he waits for them to get open, often leading to sacks or dump offs.

Sadly this game will be just as it always was to Romo. "Proof" he cant win, that he "chokes"lol ... when reality is he won that game, a questionable call and a bad decision by the staff when tying the game was an easy play, cost Dak the win HE deserved and put the team in position to get. But instead it will be amother "example"that Dak "chokes"

How did he play it safe? He rallied the team.to tie it not once but TWICE. Staff blew it once, and the refs the other.

The playcalling and play designs kept the ball between the LBs and the Safeties. They played a ton of two high, the playcalls offensively reflected that. As it should. Dak doesnt call plays. And to call any plays that would attack two deep safeties would risk a pick in a close game. Not smart.

Whats this poor kid have to do, seriously? If he won a superbowl with a 30 second drive to win it at the end, some of you would still say "yeah but it was really cooper catching it, dak just kinda played it safe throwing to the open man"

Watch the game

3rd and 7, Dak throws a 5 yard comeback and we punt

3rd and 5, Dak throws a 3 yard out and we punt

He plays it safe "Game manages" when he needs to (every once and a while) sling it to a guy who will move the sticks and let that guy make a play. He kills drives with his "play it safe" decision making

Whats the point of having Cooper, Gallup and Lamb if they only get the ball when they are WIDE OPEN, @plan9misfit says it best. Dak doesn't throw guys open, which is exactly what he needs to do to maximize the potential of this offense

They scored 17 points. SEVENTEEN. With all the tools he has and Zeke looking good he has to do more. PERIOD
