Harry injured

Joejuan will be a quality player in this league. Good tackler and throwing against a 6-3 DB is tough

Cajuste probably IR

Froholdt project

Harris stud

Bailey future pro bowler

Winovich stud

Cowart brings good pressure up the middle

Webster cut

Meyers his play dropped off but probably makes the roster

Stidham inconsistent and flawed but still impressive for a 4th rounder.

I see 9 rookies making our 53

This guy impressed me last night. He's going to be a good player.

49ers:

Nick Bosa - already been hurt twice. Looked great in camp, but didn't suit up at all in the preseason and is questionable for week 1. Obviously it was the biggest concern for him heading into the draft, and it's already showing it's ugly head.

Deebo Samuel - He has flashed a couple of times in the preseason, but hasn't been working with the first team or anything. He's probably going to be rotational his first year, not expecting a ton statistically. But he's very different than our other receivers, which I think is great. Very aggressive. I think he could be a good receiver in the future.

Jalen Hurd - Hurt, likely going to be unable to play in week one. He gave us one blissful week in preseason where he looked really nice against the cowboys making two impressive touchdown catches, but injuries are going to play a role. He was hurt in college and leading up to the draft, and back injuries are never easy. Could desperately be the type of receiver we need (size) and help solve red zone woes.

Mitch Wishnowsky - Yep, a punter in round 4, and almost all 49ers are fully on his bandwagon and selection at this point. He looks phenomenal for the most part.

Dre Greenlaw - I didn't love the pick, and he's going to have some major growing pains (he bites hard on play action). Has had an up and down preseason to be sure. Last night, for example, he reads a play very well, breaks and comes downhill to pick up a sack on Cardale Jones after the quarterback had broken containment. The very next play, in coverage, he misplays the angle on Newsome out of the backfield, allows him to get the edge, and gives up like a 20 yard gain for a first down on second or third and long. He did win the starting strong side linebacker role, which is very promising for a fifth round pick, but it's going to be an experience.

Kaden Smith - Will make the team as the third tight end. Didn't flash anything special or anything like that, but he's got a huge frame and did make some catches. There's potential there. I'm hoping for a slightly slower Cameron Brate who's a  major redzone thread.

Tim Harris - bricked an interception in one of the early preseason games which is probably the most notable thing I remember from him this preseason, ended up on IR last week.

Forgot Justin Skule. Didn't look great in preseason, and he's clearly not ready, but he made the roster anyway because our offensive line depth is atrocious

1-Quinnen Williams, stud and should be great.

3-Jachai Polite, awful and talk is he might get cut. Looks lost and I have little hope he will end up anything.

3-Chuma Edoga, solid flashes and looks like he could end up a future starter.

4-Trevon Wesco, quiet.

5-Blake Cashman, impressive. Has impressed coaches since day 1 and made plays the final game. Might end up starting this year since Williamson got injured.

6-Bless Austin, RS year probably won't be anything but right now hes injured.

This guy is already one of my favorite personalities in the league. His interviews will provide a lot of laughs during his career. Seems like a great guy.

All made the 53 except Joseph who is on IR

Round 1: Ed Oliver is starting on DL
Round 2: Cody Ford is starting at either RG or RT
Round 3: Devin Singletary helped make McCoy expendable
Round 4: Dawson Knox likely starts at TE
Round 5: Vosean Joseph is on IR for the year
Round 6: Jaquan Johnson is the teams 4th S and will start on ST
Round 7: DE Daryl Johnson is the teams 4th DE and made veteran Eddie Yarborough expendable to the PS
Round 7: TE Tommy Sweeney played really well in pre-season and will be the TE's #3 until Kroft is back.

It is early and how the first 3 or 4 guys play will determine the overall success, but it looks like Buffalo knocked this one out of the park.

2. Greedy Williams - looked solid in preseason. Talks of him starting at some point this year. Great athlete.

3. Sione Takitaki - Probably a situational player this year. Missed a few weeks of camp. Overpursues in the run game but + in blitz packages.

4. Sheldrick Redwine - Average. Probably won’t see the field much except on ST.

5. Mack Wilson - Exploded into preseason with multiple picks then took a few steps back the next week. Average against the run, + defending pass.

5. Austin Seibert - Took to coaching and stole the starting gig. We desperately needed a kicker.

6. Drew Forbes - Was in the running to start at RG. Tremendous athlete, project X. Starting on IR but future starter

7. Donnie Lewis Jr. - Cut

Ravens rookies

1. Hollywood Brown – Wasn’t tested much and the coaching staff are easing him back into action. Showed enough promise to make Ravens fans and coaches excited. No more than a role player his first games though

3. Jaylon Ferguson – 5th OLB on the depth chart. Needs experience and playing time, but seems like he can hold the edge in the running game.

3. Miles Boykin – Looks promising and got extensive work through camp and games. Struggled more with drops than I had thought he would, but bounced back and made some great catches. Looks like a starting wide receiver with the Ravens from the get go.

4. Justice Hill – HE FAST, great contact balance and more physical than anticipated. Also a better pass protector and better at catching the football than anticipated. Will still be a role player behind featured back Ingram and Hammer Gus Edwards but showed he can be a 3-down back.

4. Ben Powers – Didn’t do enough to win the starting job at left guard. Didn’t do much besides making the roster. Plays angry as he did in college

4. Imam Marshall – Made the roster, but could be an IR designated to return candidate as he is dealing with turf toe. Didn’t show much in preseason as he was injured since the beginning in august.

5. Daylon Mack – NT who also made little noise, but made the team and will serve as a backup to Williams and Pierce

6. Trace McSorley – Up and down pre season games, but apparently showed enough to get a roster spot as the 3rd QB. RGIII’s injury most likely helped him here

I called Buffalo as a top 3 draft, and this confirms it. What a draft.

UDFA LB - TJ Edwards, is making the 53 Man roster

1. LT Andre Dillard, as advertised, will probably be a 10 year starting LT starting next season, while Jason Peters as entertained the idea of moving to Left Guard.
2. RB Miles Sanders, touted by teammates and media as (clearly the most talented RB on the team). Will be splitting carries primarily with Jordan Howard
3. WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside, He's the real deal, we'll probably turn Alshon loose in march 2021 and let Arcega Whiteside take on his responsibilities full time then.
4. DE Shareef Miller, poor camp and undersized, but looked pretty solid in limited time in the preseason.
5. QB Clayton Thorson, didn't even make our Practice Squad.
7(Traded for), DT Hassan Ridgeway, beat out Treyvon Hester who made the Redskins' 53.

8 out of the 9 picks made the 53, with the lone exception being the former WR turned raw DE in Quinton Bell who is on our PS. Also a number of UDFA's made the Raiders roster:

  • Alec Ingold knocked off Keith Smith at FB
  • AJ Cole beat out Johnny Townsend at P
  • Keisean Nixon was our best playmaker at CB

Keelan Doss also could/should have.
