Honest question, when did the game go from people playing to referees playing? I feel like the line has been crossed

We're also judging them and their calls based on multiple angles and slow motion replays. They don't have that luxury in real time. Mistakes will be made and hopefully they learn from them. Replay is there to address this and sadly it didn't work out in this case.

In case anyone is wondering why Seattle 2nd team offensive line is looking so bad... .well... missing two tackles (3rd and 4th) and three guards. Currently Seattle is rolling out a futures player at LT, their RT is a guard whos been out of football since 2016, at guard is a UDFA. Making Minnesotas d-line look like the Purple People Eaters.

Preseason football kinda sucks.

Everyones 2nd team OL is atrocious. 2nd team DL are usually fringe starters. 2nd team OL are usually piles of poo. It’s never a surprise to see a complete unit of OL backups get molestered.

The problem is they feel like they need to consistently interject themselves into the game. Hard hit? Automatic flag even if it was as clean as can be. Ticky tacky PI call on a horribly underthrown ball? Have a free 50+ yards, offense!

The best refs swallow their whistles unless something egregious happens. Those don’t exist at the professional level.

Hope his explosiveness isn’t gone. He could be a gem.

He never was explosive though. He was tenacious and has good bend off the edge, but he was never a dude that just blew by OTs with speed.

I thought he was hella overrated coming out and I can’t imagine him contributing for an NFL team outside of special teams after his injuries.

Also, go Cleveland sports!

Laquon Treadwell had 4 catches for 47 yards.

Career day for him! Minnesota is eagerly anticipating someone to offer us their 2120 7th round draft pick!!

(yes, you read that correctly)

What’s been the story with him?

It’s crazy how bad that WR class ended up being. At least the top dogs (Coleman/Treadwell/Doctson).

He's a physically limited receiver (think very poor man's Anquan Boldin) that hasn't developed much at all since his rookie season.

There is no such thing as a "poor mans Anquan Boldin". Boldin wasn't a traditional athlete for the position. But he was physical, hand terrific hands and heart. If you are going to be limited athletically, you have to be physical. That's what made him so great.

It's become a cliché now to compare every athletically limited WR to Boldin. But it's so far off base. Boldin had something very rare.
