That drive was a thing of beauty.  Zach Fulton is soooo much better at center than Nick Martin who amongst other things can't snap the ball above shoelace level which disrupts Watson's vision.

This combination of the line appears to be the best and it's not close. They better not tinker with it. Let them gel and improve together.

I would love to see Martins Rankin work into RG and Scharping go to RT, but that's a very long term thing to look for.

This OL will accomplish everything we need it to accomplish.

Whoa, Bill finally read the memo about the PI challenge.  Fully expect him to burn a few of those every game on 2nd and short in Q1 and Q3.  There is no excuse for the Texans to not have a dedicated man in the booth spotting off play PI penalties downfield to steal 40 yarders and exploit this stupid rule.

I imagine he is flag happy now, but will dial it back to being timid in the regular season

Nah, don't mess with the genius of Devlin.  You've got to develop "diversity" at the expense of all else. Use draft capital on athletic tackles and turn em into guards.  Flip your developmental LT to the opposite side in the regular season without ever having him even practice there.  Start your 3rd best center as if it's his birthright despite the fact he is terrible at the two things that make a center different than a guard (hiking the ball and calling line adjustments).  Disregard run blocking as a required skill when your coach calls nothing but inside runs.   Completely disregard ability to punch when evaluating o-line talent despite it being a skill that is rarely developed at the pro level if missing in college (kind of like accuracy at QB). Stick your veteran on the opposite side of the line from where he was successful while stubbornly refusing to move your 33rd overall pick who has been objectively awful 3 straight seasons even when your franchise LT gets hurt or traded eliminating any rationale for trying to hide his obvious inability to pick up the right man on a stunt. Leave your developmental 2nd year guy out there out of position to destroy morale and momentum with an absurd amount of false start penalties.  Oh yes, completely ignore physical characteristics of each position by repeatedly drafting and playing short armed 6' 5" tackles (gee Roderick Johnson is 6' 7" with 3 foot long arms).
