I use propane/gas. It's not as authentic and doesn't give a charcoal taste, sure, but I'm just starting to grill and it was a wedding gift from my father (a grill master) who says it's best to start with propane. It's a fairly nice grill, Charbroil with three burners.

Usually cook brats and hamburgers. Haven't gotten the nerve to try anything more unique/difficult.

Am I UnAmerican if I don't grill because mine got stolen?

Depends on the time frame.

Love my Treager wood pellet grill. Thinking of getting a Big Green Egg next summer for charcoal grilling.

I'm using a Traeger now. I want a better pellet grill in the future, but it works for now.

Propane and i'm not ashamed.  Don't have time to mess with charcoal or wood.

Mess with? I turn it on and pick a temp. If it runs low I add more pellets.

no hauling propane tanks back and forth either, just grab a bag of pellets at the store when I'm low.

I have a propane grill I never use.

Steaks get done stovetop, as do burgers most of the time (every now and then I'll bust out the grill), don't eat hot dogs...

If I want BBQ, I've got a decent BBQ joint 5 min down the road.  I'll let them spend all day smoking the brisket.

I fully admit grilling, especially non propane, is best but I'm lazy about this stuff.
