All Hines did was make plays and knock ppl the hell out with elite level blocking at the WR position. Non Steelers fan take: He was an overrated and glorified slot WR who was unbelievably dirty/cheap shot artist. Just now, wwhickok said: Hines Ward was also on the right end of a SB victory. He was also on the wrong end at least once: Just now, wwhickok said: As much as ppl might not like him, so was Ray Lewis. It's a shame they could never find that white tux though. Just now, wwhickok said: Baker doesn't have jack on them at this point in his career. Agreed. Just now, wwhickok said: Yeah Lewis talked a lot of smack but it was generally directed at teams he was about to play. He did a lot more than "talk". He was aggressive and violent off the field as well.
ramssuperbowl99
Relevant reading: Almost every single post is people just laughing at the Giants for taking Jones. There's like 1 semi suicidal Giants fan in there. But apparently when Baker says he was surprised he's a monster.
VigilantZombie
First of all, people who think Hines Ward was overrated were jealous of the success the Steelers had with him. Cheap Shot because Keith Rivers cant take a hit? Please. Yes, Ward did lose a SB. That's still more SBs than Baker has been to. Also more post seasons. As for Ray Lewis, the fact he is a murderer is a completely different discussion entirely.

There is nothing gained by saying this. It makes him look like an idiot Edited August 20, 2019 by wwhickok

A monkey could've pointed that out. If Baker doesnt build a dynamically success career and Daniel Jones does, he will be reminded of his idiocy. Maybe there is time we will look back and say he was right. But then maybe he should've waited till that time to say it. Itd be one thing perhaps if they were even from the same draft class. It's also funny how the "illegal crack back/blindside block" was implemented basically thanks solely to him. Today, that's a major fine. 5 minutes ago, wwhickok said: Yes, Ward did lose a SB. MWil23
I love how the headline reads "Baker Mayfield isn't sorry for any of it" and people totally just brushed by that/it went over their head(s).

Aren't we all sick of every QB interview ever where the all read from the same script? "well first of all I just want to thank god let me tell ya they got a great football team over there and we just needed to execute in all 3 phases of the game - offense, defense, and special teams - in order to get the win, and we came through in the big moments we'll celebrate this one tonight but we've got a big game coming up next week so tomorrow we're gonna get back to work" Dude answered a question honestly. That's a good thing.

But It’s rare to see NFL players openly criticize other players, especially when there is no rivalry or affiliation between the two. There is usually a form of respect and classiness among players in all sports because they are peers. It’s not particularly surprising coming from a Busch league red neck like Mayfield. He seems to have a serious case of Napoleon complex. Between him, OBJ, Hunt, and some of their obnoxious fans, there is no team outside the NFCE that is easier for me to root against. Here’s to many more decades without a winning season for the Browns! Edited August 20, 2019 by Gmen

I want more Bill B and Gregg P interviews, and Baker is the QB version that we all secretly want. Smoking Baker memes will make Jay Cutler irrelevant (just the way Jay wants it tbh).
