SBLIII
Trevor Lawrence had the best freshman season of all time, is 6-6, extremely accurate and has a rocket of an arm. Maybe he falls off this year but likelihood is at 1-2% probably. Luck was riding the bench at the same point in his career.

Yeah his guys made plays, but he was always making plays himself. His poise and accuracy (aside from short accuracy) are unreal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=occrUBLaxBo&t=26s Thanks man, here she is.
Bearerofnews
Not a great game by TL. But not concerned. Sunshine will God Mode it this year. He just wanted to tease people with mediocrity.

This question will not be a question anymore after this season is over. To be fair, no, not really. So I'll concede this.
Leoric
Luck was hyped more then Lawrence. Both put together weren’t hyped as much as Eli though or the greatest prospect ever Michael Vick.

Did Andrew Luck beat a dominating Alabama team in the National Championship game his freshman year? No. He was not nearly as successful on the field in terms of production or play like Trevor Lawrence was. This honestly is no question, it is Lawrence all day. Sure Luck at that time was arguably the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning, well no that is no longer the case and Trevor Lawrence is the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning and is arguably the best freshman QB ever in college football. Mike Vick and Johnny Manziel were both RS FR players when they had those great seasons, Lawrence was obviously not as was a true freshman. Maybe Lawrence will totally bust this year but I highly doubt that, and he has not only this year but next year to work on his game as well. Only reason he is not a great player in the NFL is if for some reason the crazy amount of pressure gets to him and he chokes, outside of that the kid the ball and has a cannon arm and is physically put together for a QB, tall and athletic. So wheres Tebow on your list?
malak1
Lawrence would go number #1 if the draft were tomorrow. Was this the case for luck after his true frosh season? Lawrence could realistically win the next two Heisman’s and 3-peat National Titles. Even if he isn’t the better prospect, he’ll probably be the more hyped prospect. lancerman
Luck. Lawrence really didn't gain hype until after THAT game. Luck was a guy everyone knew was going number 1 for multiple years and a franchise choose to move on from a top 5 All time QB to take a shot with him

It's hard to really say though. Lawrence is playing on one of the most stacked college teams of all time. While Stanford was no slouch with Luck there, it's certainly nothing close to what Clemson is right now.
showtime
It's too early for Lawrence, but if he keeps up this pace forget Luck - he'll be the greatest prospect to come out ever.

He's had plenty of hype for a long time. What he did last season at Clemson all season and then in the national championship game vs a juggernaut in Alabama was insane. DigInBoys
Hasn't Lawrence broken a bunch of Watson's records already?
Small Town Values
High School: Lawrence / Freshman: Lawrence (True) / Remainder of College Career: ? Lawrence is better when compared to Luck at same point in time.
SDotNova
A bit apples and oranges. We're still projecting Lawrence's production in college since we've only seen him for 1 college season. Assuming Lawrence continues to progress, I'd say Lawrence. But really Luck was viewed as the perfect QB coming out of college. It's unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see him for more years. He's great.
diamondbull424
It’s too early to tell. Luck was consistent throughout his college career. Lawrence has yet to prove that. For all we know he flames out in a Len Bias fashion.
