Speaking out loud here, when was the last time the Packers made a significant in-season move? I honestly can't remember one. Had to be pre-Ted Thompson. John Jefferson, 1981 would be my guess! EDIT: Andre Rison in '96 was more recent. Edited September 17, 2019 by Golfman

Our competition is doing it - and making their comp harder for us. The good getting better doesnt make our job any easier.
squire12
Based on the contracts, I would take Fitzpatrick over Ramsey. Player and talent level, I would take Ramsey. In the end, either would be fine.

We have a Ramsey in King if you ask me. I know Ramsey is an all-pro, but King is a stud and a lot cheaper and less headaches. Fitzpatrick is a guy who can play slot or in a 3 safety look.

They weren't significant trades, but we know Gute is active in the trade market (see Ha Ha, Montgomery, Pipkins/Morrison, Randall/Kizer, Hundley, Goodson, McCray, and hell even the Mack sweepstakes) and that he isn't afraid to make a big splash (see the 2018 NFL Draft). I would absolutely not be surprised to see him go after Fitzpatrick.

We can't trade for him though. He did naughty things to coach. We only trade those guys away. Tyranny has is benefits. In all fairness I would be breaking my own rules in bringing in Ramsey with how he acts, but I'm a tyrant and that's what we do. The amount of swag coming from a King/Ramsey/Alexander/Brown CB group would make any grandma from Prairie Du Chien tremble.
deltarich87
God the amount of trash talking from Jaire/Ramsey would be incredible.

Doesn't scare me myself much honestly.

Boggles my mind that fans treat that position like the punter. Why not draft the nickel CB on Day 2 instead ? Lol nobody is treating it like the punter, good Lord. Saying we can find a starting caliber RT in the 2nd isn't putting off addressing the position. Fitzpatrick is a proven commodity that is cheap, elite and young. I'm not playing a "what if" game regarding rookie tackles being available at our spot. I'm more than fine with the depth of this class at OT. We absolutely do not have to pidgeonhole ourselves into taking an OT in the 1st.
