Where do people think the top picks will land in the top prospects rankings?  Particularly Tork.

Reds Top 10 (and expected level when they start playing again whenever that may be):

  1. Nick Lodolo, LHP, AA
  2. Hunter Greene, RHP, A+
  3. Tyler Stephenson, C, AAA
  4. Jose Garcia, SS, AA
  5. Austin Hendrick, RF, Rk
  6. Jonathan India, 3B, AA
  7. Stuart Fairchild, OF, AAA
  8. Tony Santillan, RHP, AAA
  9. Mike Siani, CF, A+
  10. Tyler Callahan, 2B, A-

Drop off after the first 5, and then another drop off after 8.  That top 5 are all top 100 worthy, although I can see Hendrick needing to prove it before he is regarded that high.  None of them are top 40-50 right now though, although all have the ceiling to be ranked high if they keep progressing.  Santillan had a rough 2019, but the talent is still there, he just has to find the control he showed in 2018 again.  Fairchild will never be a star, but I could see him being a good starter capable of playing CF with an .800+ OPS in his prime.  Had this been a normal season, Garcia could have ended the year as the systems top prospect.  He had an OPS in the FSL 100+ points above the league average with plus defense at SS, a plus arm, and above average speed.  He started slow after defecting from Cuba after not getting to play for nearly 2 years, but he has flashed big time tools and passes the eye test in a big way.  He's a player.  Hunter Greene is over a year removed from TJS now and his rehab has been going good.  This is about as high as India is going to be ranked unless he can start to hit consistently.  Too much swing and miss and hasn't shown the power he showed his junior year at Florida.

Loving the Jays updated top 10 prospects

1. P Nate Pearson

2. SS/3B Jordan Groshans

3. SS/CF Austin Martin

4. P Simeon Woods - Richardson

5. P Alek Manoah

6. SS Orelvis Martinez

7. C Alejandro Kirk

8. IF Miguel Hiraldo

9. C Gabriel Moreno

10. P Adam Kloffenstein

Kind of top heavy but still a top 10 farm system with Vladdy, Bichette, Biggio and Jansen just graduating

Martin was a steal at #5, he had real potential to go #1. Jays may not need a middle infielder, but at that point, take the best guy, he'll find a way onto the field eventually.

My thoughts are it will look something like:

1. Casey Mize, SP
2. Matt Manning, SP
3. Spencer Torkelson, 1B/3B?
4. Riley Greene, OF
5. Tarik Skubal, SP
6. Isaac Paredes, SS/3B
7. Willi Castro, SS
8. Dillon Dingler, C
9. Daz Cameron, OF
10. Alex Faedo, SP/Parker Meadows OF

Top 5 are all top 50 prospects, the rest are well out of the top 100.  Very top heavy but hoping some of those bats come alive like Meadows, Clemens, Quintana, Lipcious.  Also interested in seeing Roberto Campos. Super young but our scouts liked something about him and there just doesnt seem to be much info available.

Here are the Orioles top 10 per MLB.com

1.) C Adley Rutschman
2.) RHP Grayson Rodriguez
3.) LHP DL Hall
4.) 1B Ryan Mountcastle
5.) OF Austin Hays
6.) SS Gunnar Henderson
7.) OF Yusniel Diaz
8.) RHP Michael Baumann
9.) RHP Dean Kremer
10.) LHP Zac Lowther

The top 3 are top 50-75 prospects.  Mountcastle usually falls top 75-125 on lists.  Hays and Diaz are former top 100 guys.  I would say Hunter Kjerstad probably falls between Henderson and Kremer.  Although by the time that a new list is made next year, Mountcastle and Hays may be off prospect status, and Kremer, Baumann and Diaz are knocking on the door or off prospect status.  After that, anywhere between 5-10.

For the Cardinals, Jordan Walker clearly isn't in the top tier (Dylan Carlson, Nolan Gorman, or Matt Liberatore).  You could probably make an argument he's in that next tier with Zack Thompson, Ivan Knizner, and Ivan Herrera).  The rest of the top picks are probably in that 8-15 range.

Not a top pick but Garrett Mitchell is pretty clearly our #1 prospect now

Shhh!!!! Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this pick, at #20 it's a bargain. Brewers system is pretty weak, but adding this player gives it some juice. If the power comes look out.

They've been saying "if the power comes" about Garrett Mitchell since his junior year of high school, and we're still waiting.

Still time. Maybe pro coaching will tap into the power. Even if the power doesn't come, a quality defender in CF who can hit .300 with 30+ steals wouldn't be a terrible thing. His hit tool is impressive and has outstanding splits, which tells me he has a track to being a full time player as opposed to a platoon guy. The defense will keep him on the field, in games. Yes he is "toolsy" and I get scared when it's "just about the tools", but he also has quality baseball instincts as well, his SB rate was also very impressive. There is a lot to like about him. IF THE POWER had been there, he would have been a top 3 pick. Maybe the power developing late allows the Brewers to get a player above his draft spot.
