Why are we trading up if you like half the draft eligible tackles at that pick?

One should be there at 42.

Could be.

I'm starting not to think so though as I think there's going to be a run on tackles at the end of round 1.

Top 4 tackles go top 15.

With no Leatherwood and reports that Austin Jackson might be returning as well, players like Isaiah Wilson, Prince Tega-Wanogho, Jack Driscoll, Josh Jones, and Mekhi Becton are likely going to all come off the board between picks 20 to 40.

Runs on OLineman historically come early round 2.

We might not have to trade up to the 1st round but we'll likely need to move up some spots in the 2nd.

In this case, I decided to move up to the late 1st round to get that extra contract year, but it might not be necessary.

Bad news my man. Muti isn't getting out of the 2nd round. There are no 100% certainties in the draft, but I think it would take a La'El Collins level event for him to drop that far. He is an excellent mover in space and the dude looks for work, he's not happy with a play until he's put someone in the dirt.

Wirfs would blow Adams out of the water at RT during camp.

Yeah Wirfs can play LT/RT. If he's drafted by us (He's my favorite for pick #10 unless Derrick Brown slips), he's going to be our starting LT/RT, not RG.

I think we have to grab 1 veteran OT in the off-season. You don't want two rookies starting at OT. My preference is to go Wirfs at #10 and Conklin in FA. Conklin RT, Wirfs LT. Find a G in the 2nd/3rd.
