Dang, I know we are pretty deep at corner now, but they really cut Canady over Averret?!

The bigger question is why they kept Cyrus Jones over either of them given Thomas was clearly signed as a return specialist

Ah, that makes sense. Still, hopefully we never have to see Averret on the field again this year or ever.

That’s a little harsh. Averret looked good in limited snaps last year and has plus physical tools. Add in two years of rookie contract remaining and he’s definitely still a potential piece for the future.

Jones is probably gone when Iman is activated. Or Richards I guess, depends on how well Jones is playing on the kick/punt coverage teams.

Not a Ravens roster move per se, but figured I'd put this here:

It was the veterans and the coaching staff that held him back there as well :)

I hope we in the off season get some info about, how and why he can't find a spot with his talents and gifts.

Yes. A mid season depth signing by the Packers not immediately surpassing two current 8 Sack high price FAs in Za'Darius and Preston Smith, or their 12th Overall selection Rashan Gary. Is proof that Tim Williams offers nothing.....

If you don't believe the Ravens' coaching staff had off field issues with Tim Williams, you're firmly in the minority and admitting ignorance. There isn't a single analyst that doubts it. I mean literally right before he was released he was putting bad judgment videos out on instagram, publicly calling for more reps, and this last offseason his friend was involved in Alex Collins' arrest. Or how about him taking shots at the team after we traded Kenny Young for Marcus Peters? WTF more proof do people need that he wasn't exactly a Harbaugh guy lol.

Here is Tim Williams from the Chiefs game this season notching multiple pressures and pass rush wins. (Something Jaylon Ferguson has yet to do, as we inundate him with snaps and lack depth at the position). Would anyone put 10 toes down and say we couldn't use this skill set as the team currently stands? Yea, I'm guessing not.

There is 0 evidence that Tim Williams isn't an asset as a pass rusher. Even this year, lacking his usual level of explosion/twitch for whatever reason, he showcased good rush ability.

Harbaugh can hold back, not like/use, and in this case release a talented player- yet still be a good coach. I don't know why this topic and Tim Williams became so controversial around here.

I think the Raiders should sign him. They clearly need him as a player and he wouldn't have many bodies in front of him.

It is just so weird, that a player with such a good skillset can't find the field - even with off field issues/clashes with coaches.

Ask Chuck Clark about it. If not for Jefferson's injury, what would've been his fate with the team? Give him Tim William's personality/off field history- how long would he have lasted?

Chuck was a player the Coaches love. His skill set wasn't specialized like Tim's, he's pretty well rounded and certainly versatile. Plus he didn't have ZDS, Suggs, Judon, or Bowser in front of him- He had Tony F'n Jefferson starting in place of him. His situation and standing with the coaches/team was endlessly better than Tim's, and the obstacle in front of him(Jefferson) was legit trash. Yet he sat or saw limited time come game day.

If people can wrap their head around Chuck Clark not finding the field, I'm sure grasping the Tim Williams situation shouldn't be too hard. It's unfortunate how it all worked out, but that's just how the NFL goes. There will be another "Tim Williams" situation for us in the future, same as every other club.

I mean right now people are speculating on whether or not Lamar accidentally filmed Marquise rolling a post Patriots game celebration blunt on IG live lol. There's always fun around the corner.
