cannondale
He seems to show patience and has good vision. He doesn't let himself get blocked. He even initiates contact so he can bounce or push the guy as necessary.
deltarich87
He's an obvious upgrade over Crawford and Summers, so we'll take it
Jaire_Island
Those highlights reels look damn good. But, Why Giants nearly cut him?..

Chili
Fun Fact 1: Goodson was drafted in 2016 in the 4th round, 22 picks before we selected Martinez with our 4th round compensatory pick. Fun Fact 2: Our 4th round draft pick was traded to the Colts who just so happened to select Antonio Morrison.
boratt
Giants fans say he lacks speed to really be a modern coverage backer. But a solid 2-down guy. If everyone is healthy, this looks like a part time player, splitting time with Greene, but still nice to be able to have a 2nd thumper for obvious run downs. His real value comes if we have an injury. Summers is just not ready. Edited September 2, 2019 by boratt

Going to do what he's asked on early downs, play-in, play-out. Now that he’s in GB, I expect this number to rise by 600%
Chili
Calling him awesome tackler is weird. Despite being drafted in the same year as Martinez his NFL stats are miles behind Martinez. As a measuring stick if Martinez is considered an "awesome tackler" then based on those stats Goodson is merely "good".
packfanfb
What I figured for Burks. We have a short week Week 4 and then a mini-bye before Dallas. Always thought that was when Burks would come back.
cannondale
These are the types of plays that teams will run to target ILB's. This was my biggest fear for a guy like Summers. Freeze it at about 10 seconds and notice the clear out and how much space Bailey has to work on Goodson. No way Goodson can keep up, but he minimizes the damage pretty well. Play recognition and taking the correct angle, etc etc makes all the difference. He even jumped at the tight end and was still able to come back to Bailey in decent shape. He doesn't look slow to me. How many times have we seen receivers run away from our defenders and turn the corner in this situation ? A lot. mikebpackfan
He didn’t exactly push back a lot of ball carriers in those highlights. He’s fine though.
craig
Thanks for the Burks 4-week estimate. That wouldn't be too bad, all things considered, especially given the initial severity expected.

I'll guess: Crawford > Shepherd > Redmond > Madison > Burks-to-IR > Fadol, but no idea really. That is a fantastic question and it is anyone's guess a this point. I don't see Burks to IR if they expect him back in 4 weeks and were counting on him to start. Is Crawford a special teams guy? If not, it could be an upgrade to his roster spot. I'm waiting with baited breath as they say to find out who is out of town.
