interesting, lumped into my thinking though is the game seems to be getting a boost with all these young QBs and the gambling side of things starting to fully be folded into things. So we have more factors than just natural growth to look forward to

Absolutely. And the NFLPA won't make the same mistakes this time around either
Back to the thread about Goff.

These franchises can see down the road further than us fans, maybe all the new CBA monies are why the Rams wanted to do this deal now - as you noted. Gambling/streaming/international $$$$ were given as reasons why GB paid Rodgers now with 2 years left on his old deal.

Young QB are hard to find, so this is a great decision for the Rams to have their QB under control for 6 more years ... You can never take a very good young QB for granted.

Goff has improved every year since the start of his career, he was in the Super Bowl in his third season and he should continue to be better, so this move is a no-brainer

When it comes to QB deals, you should probably get them done as soon as possible.  Remember years ago when Andrew Luck signed the largest QB contact ever?  That deal was a bargain right now (RIP retirement hehe).  In two years from now, this Goff deal and Wilson's deal will be bargains as well.

Just now, NVRamsFan said:

So figuring it out the way everybody else figures out their deals we have Jared for $27.6 million a year for the next 6 years.

further proving that AAV is a dumb way to look at contracts.

Id say this is a pretty fair deal for both sides.

Im glad for Goff. He truly deserves every penny. The Rams are in great hands with Goff. Im so excited to what more the future holds for the youngest QB to ever start in a Superbowl. Goff continues to get better every season which is scary for the league to have a coach that continues to evolve and a QB to continue to improve.
