RuskieTitan
33.5 mil per season. My oh my. Raise your kid to be a quarterback.
chiefs82
Dallas should’ve paid Dak as soon as the season ended. Good deal for Goff, that leaves Dak this year; Watson, Mahomes and Trubisky eligible after this season to be extended.

So we have more factors than just natural growth to look forward to Absolutely. And the NFLPA won't make the same mistakes this time around either Back to the thread about Goff. These franchises can see down the road further than us fans, maybe all the new CBA monies are why the Rams wanted to do this deal now - as you noted. Gambling/streaming/international $$$$ were given as reasons why GB paid Rodgers now with 2 years left on his old deal. Wentz and Wilson got 107m guaranteed. Pretty happy about that. 24 year old franchise QBs just don’t grow on trees. 😁
DirtyDez
Glad this news came down today because I needed a reminder of how much of a cesspool twitter replies are.

Steelersfan43
Young QB are hard to find, so this is a great decision for the Rams to have their QB under control for 6 more years ... You can never take a very good young QB for granted. Goff has improved every year since the start of his career, he was in the Super Bowl in his third season and he should continue to be better, so this move is a no-brainer

But if you have even potentially a franchise QB you need to get this done What's the incentive to wait?
showtime
When it comes to QB deals, you should probably get them done as soon as possible. Remember years ago when Andrew Luck signed the largest QB contact ever? That deal was a bargain right now (RIP retirement hehe). In two years from now, this Goff deal and Wilson's deal will be bargains as well.

Id say this is a pretty fair deal for both sides.

stl4life07
Im glad for Goff. He truly deserves every penny. The Rams are in great hands with Goff. Im so excited to what more the future holds for the youngest QB to ever start in a Superbowl. Goff continues to get better every season which is scary for the league to have a coach that continues to evolve and a QB to continue to improve.
