LETSGOBROWNIES
That noise you just heard was all of the fantasy owners breathing a sigh of relief.
Art_Vandalay
Good for Zeke. For everyone saying Zeke didn't have leverage, it's now obvious who the Cowboys value most on that offense. Despite it being the RB position, the they definitely NEED Zeke if they want to make a run. The Cowboys are loaded with talent... With that said, the most important combo on a football team is QB/HC. Even though they have a bunch of talent, they still have maybe the 11th or 12th best QB/HC combo in the NFC. That always gives me a sigh of relief.
KingOfNewYork
Dallas throwing money around. Dak, Cooper or Jones about to hit the open market.

DutchFalcon
Am I the only one who thinks this is a pretty big overpay? I get Zeke is great but DAL had also consistently has had one of the better Olines in the league.

Oh well, saved Elliott the wear and tear of preseason games...but is he in NFL shape for Game 1? 47 minutes ago, PapaShogun said: At least Emmit was coming off a Super Bowl, and Dallas was 0-2. This is worse. Jerry didnt cave the first time. Emmitt did. Lets wait to see the contract details before making assumptions.

And if we come back paying Dak/Cooper top money - then who do we value? Silly take.
RuskieTitan
They paid the right person in that backfield. If they avoid paying Dak anywhere close to 30 mil, or let him walk and draft his replacement after tagging him for a season or two, then they'll really play their hand right.

ChazStandard
They should tag and trade Dak, then draft his replacement with a whatever first rounder they get for him. A good running game, stacked OL and sturdy defense is the best place for a rookie QB to go....and the best way to ruin a stacked team is to waste money on a largely mediocre QB. Drafting a replacement gets you five years control on a rookie deal, and let's you pay Cooper and Jones.
acowboys62
Love this place, Jerry "caved" by paying his best offensive weapon a market contract for his position.

He deserves it. Hes a running back, his prime years might have already gone.
