Agreed.  The only number that really matters on Zeke's deal is the $50 mil guaranteed.  With the way the RB position is, Zeke will get his guaranteed money during his prime years before he starts to fall off.

Even then we really dont know. About a third of those guarantees were already there from his rookie deal. But we dont know how the new ~$35m in GTD money is structured. Is it real GTD $$$ or is it rolling/injury guarantees?

We need the structure of the contract.

When will teams learn that paying RBs big money is stupid?

You can find an RB that will give you 70-80% of Zeke for a fraction of the price. The position is so replaceable. Use that money and invest in the oline/dline.

Dallas has an elite line. Replace the runner, and pay the QB.

Except their quaterback is mediocre and far more easy to replace with a relatively comparable player. Getting a QB to play behind that line with Zeke carrying the load will save you twice as much money as the other way around. Dak plain and simple isn't worth the money he wants. Based on current market value he's only really worth $28-30 Million, but will likely make 5 Million more than that per year.

It’s not grading, it’s advanced stats, so why not?

While "Yards per Rounte Run" is a stat and even "Breakaway Percentage", "Elusive Rating" is definitely not. Unless you can tell me the exact formula, it's a subjective metric.

Either way, PFF has absolutely no credibility with me anymore. It's fun to look at but the grades as well as a good handful of the advanced stats that are no longer available to standard users are subjective nonsense.

I saw Duke Manyweather quote this the other day (he disagreed, as any rational person would). Had to explore and see what this dude is about. Turns out he's an even bigger stat nerd than Warren Sharp and a hardcore contrarian. Zeke is undeniably a top-3 RB no matter how you cut it.
