The wisest way to spend money is to start at CB, Bradberry or Byron Jones, the CB market is pretty cheap compared to other positions I don't see either one going pass 12M per year.

boy do I agree with this, especially bradberry for me . theyre both good to great but damn, look who bradberry had to cover in that div, that's a murderers row straight up, Thomas, jones,  evans? that's almost not even fair to ask of a CB. either one id pay handsomely and would provide immediate defensive improvement and draft flexibility.

Thoughts on Josh Norman guys?

He seems to have really fallen off a cliff, only saw the Redskins once last year so no idea if that was scheme or coaching or skills deteriorating. I don't think he'd be cheap enough to make it worth the risk.

How does everyone feel about giving Trumaine Johnson a 1yr prove it real?  If we do what would you be comfortable paying him?

i wouldn’t mind giving Charles Harris a chance.
Avery Williamson would be a nice 2 down run defending MLB.

everson griffin would be the main guy I go after.  He’d be a real contributor and mentor for Crosby and Ferrell.

at the right price janoris Jenkins would be a nice slot cb.

Johnson has been a disaster in New Jersey, vastly overpaid but if he doesn't get many offers id bring him in later in FA for cheap but he'd have to compete. Bouye, Carrie, Harris Jr, Poole would all be better albeit more expensive options. Id be ok bringing him in so long as we drafted a guy in the top 3 rounds and didn't just hand him role.

Id like to see us bring back Worley and a couple of low key FAs (like Carrie) plus draft a guy and let them compete for CB2 with Lawson slotted at nickel.

Baltimore fans are elated he's been released. Calling him the biggest FA bust in their history so.... hard pass.

Was going to say the same thing. He was good in the past and is a Raiders fan so that's cool, but the dude apparently suuuuuuucked so that's a hard pass from me.

Can you really take emotional fans opinions seriously? Tony Jefferson is a very interesting player. Still only 28. Raised a Raiders fan. Health is the biggest concern for him. Would be able to get him for cheap. His injury opened the door for another player and that player shined. Can’t say I watched many Ravens games the last 3 years, but he’s worth kicking the tires on. Cheap and will provide a veteran guidance to Abrams.

- Josh Norman washed, would have no interest.

- Tony Jefferson is a no too. Wanted him 3 years ago but he didn’t really do much on the Ravens. Usually players shine in that system, but they just signed another guy to a big contract to take his spot. Jefferson is a box safety with limited Range, I guess he could be brought as a backup SS in a cheap Curtis Riley type contract. Probably would make the team, but he isn’t good enough to be a starter

Read some of the Ravens fans issues with him. Box safety who can't cover. Raiders need less player who can't cover.

I really don't care that he's a Raider fan...

This must be a byproduct of being a Raider fan in Oakland or California. Wanting players who grew up in the area or fans of the team isn't a bad thing, but it's not a tangible reason to sign someone.
