And Gruden just gave Booker a shout out earlier this week saying that he wants to give him a bigger role going forward. But at the end of the day if we can add another All-Pro level player screw Booker and Richard. Our backs are averaging 32 touches per game with Jacobs accounting for 24 of those. Jacobs is on pace to set the franchise record for most touches in a season adding Bell would let us use him less and keep him fresh. Reduce Jacobs touches to like 18-20 per game and give Bell 12-14. Richard and Booker will lose their touches if we sign Bell because he's a better runner than Booker and a better receiver than Richard. Bell definitely didn't play well last year but he was also playing behind one of the worst OL's in football. We've seen Jacobs YPC dip significantly this year without Richie and Trent but still an above average OL overall blocking for him. We’re better served and need a guy like Booker that can sit on the sidelines and get called into the game randomly for a few plays here and there and be successful in those plays. This was my one and only reason needed to not want him. He chased a payday with the Jets over better teams. He's not interested in team success. He's a headache waiting to happen. I'm certainly not a fan of the Steelers, but they're a classy organization. When they give up trying with someone who has undeniable talent, I take notice. Bryant, Brown, Bell- all of them are unquestionably talented when they're motivated. The Steelers were perfectly happy letting them all go. We were on the bad end of 2 of them already.
