What a piece of trash.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I remember during the Original AB “drama”  and trade to Oakland, you cheered about the players having the “power” to decide their own fates.

You act like he's not going to get another contract next year for some reason.

Once he gets that deal, he'll be right back where he was if he stayed with the Raiders.

What if he gets hurt?  What if he continues to act like a total buffoon and the rest of the league finally decides he isn't worth it?  This is a bad gamble.  The smart move is to take the $30M you already have guaranteed with the Raiders.  It's a stupid gamble - lots of possible risk with not much upside if any.

guessing the latter

@warfelg No it's the first one without the con out of money part. He basically got an extensive offseason, and plays a damn good villian.

If his body and feet were indeed beat up he got everything he needed. Now he's got a one year prove it deal with decent money on the contender.

It is a Business we will see in time whether he made a good business decision or not.

The acting like Andy dufrain when getting released by the raiders is him working on a second career as far as I'm concerned.

The whole episode is sad, and really, if you want to blame anything, blame the NBA.  NBA players have manipulated their personal benefits over competitive balance for several years.  NFL players want to do it now, but the rules are harder to manipulate.  All of this just proves that the NFL just took another step closer to  becoming the WWE of actual sports.  The rich get richer.  AB can act like an *** and actually end up being rewarded for it.  he couldn't force a trade to his preferred destination, but his actions got him exactly what he wanted.  And lucky for all of us, an entire nation of teens took notice.

It's not the players job to maintain competitive balance. It's the GMs job across all leagues to build competitive teams with the resources they have available.

And it's the league offices who are supposed to keep stuff like this from happening.  But he went to a big market team, ruled the headlines on a day that saw countless college football games and Serena Williams lose in the US Open Finals, so the league could care less.  If he signed with Buffalo, they'd probably decide to suspend him for the threats and racial slur.

As a Raiders fan, I'm just glad the drama queen is gone. Don't care where he went but do hope we knock him out when we play. Game went from Pats beating the
Raiders to Raiders taking shots on Brown. Ravens/Steelers type of game. Bountygate part 2

EDIT: I think Willie McGuinest will tell Brown what is expected and let him know the score.

Since when has Brown adhered to authority?

Bill isn't Gruden though. He's not going to coddle him, or be a yes man for him.

It won't ever be fully like the NBA though, because an entire football team won't hinge on a a player other than a QB really.

Foxboro is not a big market at all. Neither is Boston if you want to actually consider them there. They're a mid-tier market like Atlanta.
