I’ve never heard that Kittle was a strong consideration.
WizardHawk
Safety #1 as far as I'm concerned.

I've not watched him yet, but I am certain to have a bias towards loving him. Antoine Sr. had some of the best football DNA, he was a baller to his core. Judging by his 7 interceptions, 83 tackles, and 3 sacks, I'm guessing some of that DNA got passed on to Jr.

Outside of that, he's got just about everything you want in a safety. Excellent punt returner too. His game vs Iowa this year was solid. He covers a lot of ground. CT Cowboy Fan
I don’t understand how they graded this draft so low. I think everyone probably goes a round higher than I selected them. I’d love this. Your score is: 31168 (GRADE: C+) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 17: Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn (A) Round 2 Pick 17: Xavier McKinney, SS/FS, Alabama (B+) Round 3 Pick 17: KLavon Chaisson, DE/OLB, LSU (A+) Round 4 Pick 17: Joe Bachie, OLB, Michigan State (A+) Round 5 Pick 16: Mitchell Wilcox, TE, South Florida (A+) Round 7 Pick 17: AJ Green, CB, Oklahoma State (A+)

Okay my bad. Though I got the Feeling many would take him then if he really is that good

Well...if the #1 safety is on the board, and the #4 DT is the best at his position still around...then yeah, I'd say it's true.

There are instances where a team favors the #2 or #3 guy at his position over the #1 guy at another, simply because they value the position more. QB, Edge, OT, CB, and WR are routinely selected ahead of top flight guys at other positions like TE, S, and off the Ball LBs.
DaBoys
In this case DT and Safety are probably equally valuable.

You outright rejected the idea of taking a safety at #17. Since we have no idea what the board will end up looking like, that surprised me. I wanted to understand your thought.
