Somehow Dallas gets the #1 overall pick - you cannot trade down and you cannot trade drafted player. Who do you draft? Ohio State DE Chase Young, and not think twice about it.
Texas_OutLaw7
I expected Young to be the favorite. I was curious how many would want to replace Jones with Okudah or take a flier on Simmons or even solidify the DL with Brown.
flyingmonkey30
Brugler just did a mock that had us trading back with New Orleans for an extra 3rd and future 3rd and 4ths, and we still ended up with Delpit. That would be nice.

Seems like those issues did not exist in 2018. People suggest injury he dealt with all of 2019 is the reason for it.

I'll deal with the tackling issues in exchange for his coverage ability. Let him play single high and force turnovers.

canadaluvsdallas
We had like 16 turnovers in total last season and we out here concerned about tackling with Delpit? Who cares if he misses a tackle once in a while if he takes the ball away. You can somewhat teach tackling but you don't find ball hawks just growing on trees Edited February 5, 2020 by canadaluvsdallas

You can somewhat teach tackling but you don't find ball hawks just growing on trees I think people get too hung up on the whole ball hawk thing. I agree it would be great to have one, but being one in college and being one in the NFL are two entirely different stories. Just see Jones and Woods college stats. As for the somewhat teaching tackling....Delpit just played 3 years for one of the best in the biz, Dave Arnada....also played for a defensive minded HC. I think he is what he is at this point and adding a bad tackling safety to an already bad tackling defense, doesn't seem like a great idea.
Calvert28
After watching more game tape I would rank my top 5 like this. 1. Isiah Simmons 2. AJ Epenesa 3. Javon Kinlaw 4. Delpit 5. Mims

Pick 17 seems right in the wheelhouse of where he could go too.

Honestly if he falls to 15 I am praying we trade up to get him so the Falcons or Raiders don't do it.

Seen a bunch of mocks with him going the pick right before us. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001101022/article/threeround-2020-nfl-mock-draft-10-dolphins-pass-on-tua Edited February 6, 2020 by DaBoys
