Even with the obvious youth, inexperience, and very small sample size, it's becoming more and more evident that Moore is going places on the coaching side of the business. Dallas is at some point, probably in the not too distant future going to have an interesting decision/dilemma on their hands.

Obviously a long ways to go to make this kind of comment.

But..….if the next year or second year go somewhat as well as the first week then I don't see Dallas cutting him loose. Not after Payton.

I remember the talk about him being an eventual coach while he was still playing at Boise State. Announce teams used to openly discuss it during their broadcasts.

This. We can’t let him go. He clearly gets it.

How did Kellen Moore become such a good OC? By playing with himself:

Sweet thigh pads from Zeke:

Quote

Stars like Ezekiel Elliott, Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, as great as they were, were stilted in an offense led by Scott Linehan that was so predictable, Prescott and Cooper started to change the calls on the fly just to get traction beyond what Linehan called. It seemed that NFL defenses weren’t all that challenged by a bunch of stop routes over and over, which is probably why Dallas fired Linehan in January and replaced him with Moore

---------------------------------------------------

Against the Giants, Prescott used play action on 46.9% of his 32 dropbacks. Among starting quarterbacks in Week 1, only Lamar Jackson had a higher play action rate (50%), and Jackson was the only other quarterback in Week 1 to put up a perfect passer rating with at least 20 attempts.
