I was under the impression that Zhaire Smith couldn't/didn't shoot jumpshots much like Ben Simmons.

But he just made 2 3-pt shots tonight. That alone makes me more excited to see what he can do.

he had a good 3 point average in college he just barely even took the shot because well he's always been the most athletic person on the floor and didnt need to do so.

if Smith and Thybulle can keep hitting 3s when open and being good defenders should be strong bench players for us this season.

He can shoot some, better than Simmons. His shot has some weird spin on it but it was decent in college.

I know the other two guys above already answered this but Zhaire can shoot. It's not a natural looking shot but you can't leave him open, he's not Ben Simmons or Tony Allen out there.

Really hope Z stays healthy this year.

No issues with this. We're in this deep already, nothing more to lose at this point.

Bodner made a great (obvious) point on Twitter - at no point over his deal will Simmons likely not have a very high value around the league.

People focus to much on what he can't do and miss what he does do.

Yeah because in the recent NBA, no team has won a 'chip with a PG/main ball handler who can't hit (or won't attempt) a J outside of 8ft. FACTS
