I disagree case and point last year everyone was on the Mayfield band wagon because of how well he played in his rookie season. Of course we know the come out this year weapons out the wazoo and who knew? Mayfield is just another guy. Same thing with Lamar after viewing his playoff game last year I said this kid ain’t it.. here we sit this year and he’s league MVP. This is a toss up I don’t go off a hand full of games it’s gotta be consistent. Minshew plays well in spurts. Is the potential there to be high caliber starter.. yeah.. to say he is going to tap into his ability and become it remains to be seen.. but he still has growing to do.

When did I say anything different?

Exactly my thoughts.

Tbh he looks so much better without Fournette. Blake was the same way....

In what ridiculous sort of world is it better to look bad when Fournette is there?  Dude is a special dude just like Bortles who looks "better" by whatever ******* bizarre metrics, when they don't have the stud RB there?

The upsidedown backward gymnastics people will do to justify a mediocre at best QB.  My goodness.  It's incredible.

The issue is Offensive Coordinators force feeding Fournette the ball up the gut. Notice that when he's not in t he game, the offense looks different. It's been like that since is rookie season.

Exactly this.

On Sunday they spread it out and looked more loose.

When Fournette is out there it looks like Flip is just focusing on getting him going.

What did you expect them to do? As soon as they put the ball in the rookies hands and he turns it over.. then the fan base will be talking about how stupid it is to expect the rookie to carry the load.. Fournette is a volume carry guy the type of player you want to put the ball in his hand early and wear teams down at the end of games. That’s the way it is you gotta roll with how the team is set up.

Your resume is on the line are you circumventing your offense around a 6th round rookie?

Can we get rid of the 6th round label?

Minshew played just as good if not better than Kyler and Daniel Jones. Way better than Haskins. It doesn't matter where he was drafted now.

There's a difference imo between circumventing your offense around a guy and being more go with the flow like we saw Sunday.

You take your man crush on this kid way too far everything I say is not an indictment on the kid.. I’m talking in pure logic looking at the whole situation.

You’re the new OC here you come in you’ve been prepping Foles all offseason. Your rookie looked like *** all preseason, you’ve got Leonard Fournette on your roster. Are you going with what you know about or are you throwing caution to the wind?

Lol because every single post about him mentions him as a 6th round pick. I don't get why it matters where they were drafted. Justin Thornhill, a top safety this year in the NFL for KC, was what a 7th? Once your drafted and get playing I don't think it matters besides talking about stealing a guy.

You can alter how you call the game as the season goes...just because you didn't have trust right away doesn't mean you can't alter your plan.
