This is only a story because they lost It's a story because the company probably gave it to him for free to wear it during the game and make it a story. And/or they paid him. So it was always going to be pushed as a story by the company and/or OBJ.

This article completely corroborates what people are saying. That OBJ wearing this is a publicity stunt and he was (very likely) given the watch for free to showcase or paid to do this. Not that there's anything "wrong" with all of this, but it's clearly an advertising stunt (like outfitting other elite athletes in the above article). Danger
Who cares? If it gets swiped that's on him. The only issue I see is what if it messes with his typical reflexes and equilibrium and causes him to drop a pass?

BayRaider
WRs are all diva insecure showoffs.... AB went to France this off season, walked in the watch store, asked for the most expensive watch without even looking at it, and bought. These guys will do anything to feed their egos. showtime
The Browns play the Rams on Sept. 22nd. Odell may walk into that game with a watch on, but he's not walking out of that game with his watch. "What watch...."
minutemancl
Way down towards the bottom of the list of stupid things Odell has done. But it further drives home the point that the dude is all about attention. He needs it.
