ET80
He was out of gas when he played in Houston, before his achilles tear. Not sure how much he has left, but I'd wager it's not much.
kramxel
So... did the Jets notice he was available before week 1? I mean, before the Pats resigned him? Like when everyone could sign him? Am I missing something or is this a ridiculous move?

Just wanted to be carried to a ring only to get shipped to the Jets for pennies. Also, BB gets conned out of his 6th by the Bills so he goes right around and does the same thing to little brother. You can hate, but you've got to admire his brass/ruthlessness haven't you. I think we all wish we were a bit more Belichick sometimes

Most likely explanation: The Pats told him he would be resigned and DT wanted to be a Patriot than anything else.

I have no doubt that was the plan for the Pats, I'm asking from the Jets perspective. If you are prepared to part with a pick (albeit a very late one), perhaps you try to approach the player with a little more vigor. And I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, in saying they actually tried to sign DT. If they didn't then it's ever more farcical.

sammymvpknight
Why would you ever trade for a player in the division? I’m sorry but this just defies basic logic
