Obviously he is, the Patriots wouldn't trade him to us if they felt he was gonna be a difference maker for us. 

 

But obviously the Jets aren't happy with their WR depth and Gase has familiarity with Thomas.

Think DT still have plenty in the tank.  Good move for everyone because DT is unproven after his injury and wasn't going to get many snaps in our backfield.  This will give DT a chance to prove himself, should help out the Jets, and really didn't cost the Jets much while giving the Patriots a little something.
