Yea. The MVP conversation is really of a waste of breath because everyone's rules are different and you can warp it to whatever you want to say. However, ultimately success and failure for any offensive player is based on your offense scoring when you get that ball. So if you are saying Lamar ISN'T the MVP, what you are saying is that player X is more valuable a piece of his offense than than Lamar is to the Ravens offense, which isn't really quantifiable, but it sure seems false. Side note: It's visibly jarring that Lamar seems to have gained 20-30 pounds of muscle since he came in as a rookie. Part of it may be that he was very young when he was drafted, but he also seems to be a workout beast. He looks almost like a shorter version of prime Kaepernick, before he went vegan and lost all his bulk).

Yeah it’s truly unfair to compare Lamar’s bulk stats to other players when he’s banging out 9 minute drives on the regular. Kind of hard to compile a crap ton of pass/rush stats when you have less drives. Agree completely. Even then, he’s still on pace to obliterate an individual record. That all said I’m just going to hang back because ultimately I see a few names dropping out of the MVP race soon and thus the field should start to level out a bit.
sp6488
Love it. In the LSU-Bama game, announcers on the Burrow scramble just now. “That’s a good job, you don’t need to be Michael Vick or Lamar Jackson...”

baltimoreRebel
Lamar haters are working overtime again this week. Since they can't really deny his talent anymore, the new lines this week are "He's going to eventually get hurt". Now they just flat out wish injury on one of the most lovable NFL characters this year. Gotta love people man 😂

The idea that Lamar is taking unnecessary hits is actually something he's done VERY well at this year since week 1. The only "big" hit I've seen him take in several weeks was this past game against Houston where he lowered his shoulder at the end of one of his long runs. Aside from that, he's been very smart about taking hits. The only other big hit was, ironically, in the pocket against Cinci on his TD throw.
