How your team rookie have looked like week 2

Bradbury has been okay so far. Looks great in the run game, natural fit. Though there have been some struggles. Had a bad snap week one and two holding penalties in GB.

Irv Smith hasn’t contributed as a receiver but he’s a really good blocker, surprised by the lack of use.

Mattison has had some nice runs in relief of Cook. Seems good for 30-50 yards per game.

Remember it's very difficult for a rookie to come in and play center their first year. Usually teams will integrate them as a guard and transition them to center in their second year. So in that respect Bradbury has already been dealt a tough hand. There's going to be some growing pains but I still think he's going to be great.

Ravens:

Hollywood Brown- Is second only to Anquan Boldin in yardage from the first two games of the season. He has shown he can be successful as an deep threat as well as a quick route runner underneath. Nearly had two games of over 100 yards and he’s not even fully healthy yet (though tbf is any NFL player ever “fully” healthy).

Jaylon Ferguson- Healthy scratch with veteran pass rushers playing over him.

Miles Boykin- Was a man amongst boys in the preseason, but has looked like a rookie in the regular season.

Justice Hill- Very fast, quick, and explosive. Just might have leapfrogged Gus Edwards along the depth chart already. Has ran quality routes as a RB used in the WR role. He also has performed well in pass blocking. Which is surprising given his frame.

Ben Powers- Healthy scratch. Not as versatile as some of our other OL.

Iman Marshall- The obvious IR stash player.

Daylon Mack- Looks like he’s next in line with Brandon Williams and Michael Pierce to become that dominant RB threat that can push the pocket. Showed most of this in preseason but has shown well during regular season goal-line/short yardage opportunities in game.

Trace McSorely- Had one solid preseason outing, looks composed, but doesn’t look like he has the arm talent to be a legit NFL QB. Has been a healthy scratch.

Otaro Alaka- Thumper linebacker that is fast and strong, made a good defense as an undrafted LB. Healthy scratch.

Patrick Mekari- Impressive player that has shown the versatility to play well (by preseason standards) every position along the OL. He got playing time at RG (to sub Yanda) in the 4th quarter of the Miami blowout and looked good.

1. Tytus Howard - Injured for W1, started yesterday, looked overmatched against Calais Campbell and the Jags front.

2a. Lonnie Johnson - Got significant time in yesterday, played some solid CB vs Dede Westbrook. Had a nice PBU in the game, kept Dede in check for the most part.

2b. Max Scharping - Still a spectator. Rod Johnson got the nod at RT over Scharping yesterday, which might indicate they're only going to play Scharping at G.

3. Kahale Warring - IR, probably won't play this season.

5. Charles Omenihu - Recorded a strip sack yesterday, has looked really solid in very limited time.

6. Xavier Crawford - No PT yet.

7. Cullen Gillaspia - ST snaps only, doesn't look bad at least.

Daniel Jones has been waiting patiently. His time is coming soon because this team is going nowhere this season.

Dexter Lawrence has been part of a leaky defensive front. Was hoping to see him flash a bit more. He’s also dealing with a shoulder injury.

DeAndre Baker, the highest drafted corner, thus far has looked absolutely lost. Even worse is that he looks physically outmatched at the NFL level. Not very quick, fast, or long. Very disappointing so far.

Disappointing start to the Giants season. We knew there would be growing pains, but they haven’t shown much to be excited about. Hopefully Daniel Jones changes that.
