The penalties though? The FG try? No reason for that.

I'm his biggest fan and I agree. He's gotta be better with that stuff. Which mostly stems from his aggressiveness. Just gotta be smarter. At JMU he usually learned from his mistakes quickly. We'll see if he does in the NFL.

Love reading up on these so I'm going to bump it for week 3.

Miami's draft was pretty lackluster back then and still looks like it so far. Christian Wilkins pretty much the only one with a positive impact right now. Michael Dieter could become a viable starter at G but hard to evaluate a rookie on the worst roster in football. Van Ginkel is on IR.

The rest are JAGs.

Dalton Risner (2nd round), the Broncos LG, is playing some excellent Football. Home run of a pick thus far.

Unfortunately, he's the only rookie Bronco that is contributing anything positive to the team right now.

Noah Fant, #20 overall - Still adjusting to the physicality of the NFL. Suffered with drops in the first 2 games, then committed an absolutely back breaking turnover against GB in week 3.

Drew Lock, 2nd round - short term IR. Likely to see game action late in the year when the Broncos are officially out of playoff contention (could be week 9, to be honest ...) Looked incredibly raw in the preseason and Coach Fangio went out of his way to say how far off he was from being ready to play.

Dre'Mont Jones, 3rd round - Not seen that much action thus far but that will change with the injury to Derek Wolfe.

Justin Hollins, 5th round - Staff moved him around constantly in the preseason between OLB and ILB. Appears to now be seen as an ILB, but can't crack the lineup with the worst ILB options in the entire league. Not ready.

Juwan Winfree, 6th round - Can't see gametime in a weak WR group. Poor ST play in the preseason seems to be the reason we won't activate him on gameday.

Great week for the Giants rookie class.

Daniel Jones - couldn’t have asked for a better debut. Showed off his arm, toughness, athleticism. He’s going to be a star.

Dexter Lawrence - Blocked PAT, sack. Big men can make an impact without showing up in the stat sheet. He did both

Deandre Baker - Janoris Jenkins was the one getting picked on this game. Didn’t hear Baker get mentioned much other than getting a solid tackle.

Ryan Connelly - took over playcalling duty halfway through the game. Had an interception. Still think he’s too slow to be more than a two down linebacker

Darius Slayton - 3 receptions for 86 yards. Great block on Engrams TD.  Looks 6’1” 200 and has deep speed. Al Davis would love this guy.

I'm... excited.

RT Tytus Howard found his forever home at RT. He looked a bit overmatched at LG vs the Jags, but his physical tools were on display against either Melvin Ingram or Joey Bosa. With Tunsil getting the nod at the blindside, Howard gets the nod on the strong side and looks like a natural fit at the spot.

LG Max Scharping got his first start, at LG to allow Howard to jump to RT. It was also promising, as he displayed a wide base, good feet and a strong counterpunch in pass protection. He really looked impressive on stunts and blitzes his side, he was able to wallop some folks out there - he wasn't confused by the motion and angles, he was pretty smart out there.

CB Lonnie Johnson made some good plays in coverage when the ball came his way. Then, the Chargers worked to target CB Jonathan Joseph and Johnson was just an observer - ball wasn't thrown his way when the Chargers were able to get chunk yards when throwing at #24.

DE Charles Omenihu is outplaying his draft slot; He recorded another sack this week, using his hands very well and just powering his way to take down Phillip Rivers. He's more productive than Christian Covington was his rookie season, he's destined to take a starting job away from Angelo Blackson.

Never understood why he dropped so far.
