You have to build that. This is all stemming from past issues and problems that ran deep from the top of football operations that clearly pissed a lot of players off to an extent that isn't easily repairable. It's a lot easier said than done to fix that.

Not to mention the players your referencing have to have a talent level where it's worth it. We talking Yan, Ramsey, etc.? Yeah, we needed to figure that out. Lenny? No. Especially when you're trying to improve it and this is a key off-season.

Edit: Well I guess tbd on "past issues".

I don't think it matters that it's Fournette, instead of Jalen or whoever.  Maybe you don't value Fournette as much as others, but that is in itself, the fundamental problem this team has created.  They've built an atmosphere where they're "users" of players, and will hand millions to Bortles, but won't ante up on other good, solid...better at their jobs players at other positions.  People don't like Fournette...but the guy is a #1RB for most teams, and has been among the most disrespected by whatever garbage Coughlin was attempting.

Good teams find a way to mend fences and keep players happy.  Bad teams...have the situation we have, where people are trying to justify jettisoning quality players for pennies on the dime.  Because they were, "bad influences".  At some point though...your team is the bad influence.  You need to fix that, if you ever want to win.  That's what this team needs to fix.

Well we are a bad team right now. Which is the whole point.

You keep referencing what culture is basically. When you're not winning/things aren't going well you aren't going to have a great culture in the locker room (and it got blown up x10 due to everything else that's happened recently). Hence why they're trying to do a quick jumpstart of the team post Coughlin and trying to make sure the people from that regime who clearly have issues with the organization/generally just bad for the locker room are taken out before you restart this with a large rookie class and try and get the boat steering in the right direction. Them coming into the locker room with a jaded player that is talking ish/not bought in isn't how you get things set in the right direction.

Also, most every team weighs the risk/reward of a player when it comes to personalities/how they'll fit in the locker room. The talent has to be worth the risk, and if you do take that risk you have to believe you're locker room/team is in the right spot to be able to do so. We're clearly not, regardless if it was a new regime came in or not. That has to be built up.

Chiefs would be such a weird fit for Fournette.  The other 4 make sense though.

He would be an interesting fit considering they have loads of speed but having a power aspect to their offense even if just a 1 year rental would be interesting. You load up with guys to tackle LF and Hill beats you over the top or vice versa

The problem with Fournette in the Chiefs offense though, is that you want the ball in Mahomes hands most of the time.  Whereas Fournette is a good RB...but he's also a "big volume" sort of back.  His style of running is a lot more effective if you just keep feeding him.  That doesn't really seem to jive with what the Chiefs do, or what Mahomes would really work with as a QB and obvious focal point of the offense.

It's actually kind of incredible just how incredibly badly that experiment went...so quickly here.  Like...i think a lot of people were reasonably skeptical about it.  But it was such a complete an utter implosion, with so few games actually played.  Crazy the way situations all came together to make that about as disastrous as possible.
